When Collin turned to look at Mercy, he looked nothing like the man they know him to be, he half shifted into something that look like a werewolf but also like a demon, he looked like something from out of hell and Mercy couldn’t help the shivers that ran down her spine.
The look he gave her was so cold and threatening that she even doubted her own actions of wanting to calm him down. Mates are supposed to be able to calm each other down when one is angry but at this moment, looking into the eyes of Lucifer Mercy doubted that even their mate bond could work.
Collin kept his eyes on her watching her every move, Mercy saw that he was not anything but looking coldly
Streaks of sunrays entered the room, the light was on her face, she turned to look the other way and automatically stretched her arm and patted the area where her mate was supposed to be sleeping but it was empty and cold. She slowly opened her eyes and looked beside her. The place where her mate was sleeping was now empty and cold. Indicating that he woke up a while ago.Memories of the previous night entered her mind and her lips curved into a beautiful smile. She tried getting out of bed but her legs were stiff and sore. She groaned in pain and laid back on the pillow. While she was thinking of how she will get up from the bed there was a knock on the door and she invited the person in.
That whole week the rogue alpha kept on sending messages and leaving notes on the tees for the Black Moon Pack warriors to see and send to their alpha. However Collin didn’t care at all about the notes, in fact he was planning an attack on the Silver Moon Pack, it was time, his warriors and mother were now ready to avenge their loved one. In fact his whole pack was!Collin was on the training grounds early this morning as usual, he lead the training himself this day from 4AM until 8AM then ordered everyone to gather around. “Black Moon Pack, time has come to avenge our loved ones, the Silver Moon Pack and their alpha might be under the pression that we will not retaliate after what they have done. But I want us to show them today that we are not to be messed with.&rd
Night fell and the cheers died down. The mood turned somber, people’s faces now showed worry and fear. Time had come for them to part with their loved ones and they didn’t know if they would come back or not. Pups too who are always cheerful and oblivious to what is going on around them. Today they resembled the faces of the adults, they were quiet and behaving like they were told to do so.Hugs and kisses were shared by mates, Luna Katherine hugged Mercy who was barely holding it together now that the time for them to leave has come. She held her tightly in her arms and whispered gently in her ear. “Don’t look so sad now my baby, I will come back, and if I don’t...” Mercy stiffened when she heard her say that and shook her head,
After falling Lucas pulled himself up and leaned on his back against the tree, then lifted his head up and looked at the woman walking gracefully towards him. There was resentment in her eyes and it pained him to know that she resents him. She got close to him and bent down looking at him in the eyes. “Was it worth it, killing John, my mate! Was it worth it?” his heart tightened in his chest when he heard her say that. The woman he loves was here, in front of him confronting him about another man, it hurt so much that he wanted nothing but for her to end it. At least if he dies by her hand he will be at peace, he hoped that maybe in another life they will be together. She is the only woman he's ever loved and yet his love was not reciprocated. She was his first love, his everything and he would have given her the world
After killing Misha Collin had no time now to admire his handy work as he had to fight two to three werewolves at a time, he had to kill fast and without remorse. At that moment all he could see was red and the scent of fresh blood that filled the air was not helping at all. In fact, it was fueling the demon, making him stronger and stronger. It was not long before he and his warriors were surrounded by dead bodies. It was a battlefield and the decoration of bodies and blood was proof of that. He stood there breathing heavily with his chest moving up and down. Looking for his next victim but there was no one other than his warriors, his eyes were now set on the warriors standing there looking at him trying to catch their breaths. A sinister smile appeared on his face, Collin saw
Two days have passed and still no sign of Collin, Mercy has made is her mission to pray to the Mood Goddess every night for his safe return, which was hypocritical on her part because she knows how powerful Collin is and for her to only pray for his safe return and not those that will die by his hand, was a bit selfish. But which mate isn’t selfish? They all are because naturally it’s instilled in them to care and love their mates and Mercy was no different.Luna Katherine, on the other hand, was worried, she didn’t know which Collin will return when he decides to come back home but she hoped that it will at least be too cold and condescending one not the demon thing with the thirst for blood. Mike only wanted his alpha back nothing more, pack duties were too m
Mercy stood there for a while waiting to hear if the voice will say something else but it was all quiet, so she resumed running towards the packhouse and when she came to view of it the demon was standing there sniffing around. She turned back slowly and ran back to the direction she came from. ‘Mercy, where are you.’ Asked Luna Katherine through the mind link.‘Going to find something to disguise my scent with, I don’t want him sniffing my scent before I get close enough.’ She answered while running towards the pack hospital. ‘Mercy, my child am sorry, when I said come if it will save the pack I was not thinking of you, now that I think about it Collin could be running from you to avoid hurting you, and yet I am pushing you to come this way.
That night Mercy could not sleep, not because she was not tired or had no desire to sleep but because of the pain she felt, her wrist and ankles have even turned red from all the rubbing. The pain was unbearable, at first, she didn’t know where the pain was coming from then after taking pain pills and still, the pain didn’t go away it dawned on her.She and Collin were mated, which means that they could feel each other’s pain, and right now she was feeling the pain caused by the silver chains on her mate. Her wolf was restless and so was she. At around 3 AM in the morning she went down to the cells, she thought that being close to her mate will help ease the pain. When she got there the warriors on night guard gave her a hard time a bit, but in the end, let her
