‘Johanna. . . .

My daughter. . .

I can’t hold this weary heart for too long. . .

This is going too heavy on this feeble body. . .

I may not be strong enough to combat it anymore. . .

Here I lie in my bed awaiting next day. . .

Not knowing, whether or not I may see another rising sun. . .

What has ever happened to the courtesy?’

There was an ailing old man lying on his death bed, holding the hand of a young girl, Johanna, his daughter.

The room was a wide and spacious one! Beautifully adorned with high ceilings and chandeliers hanging downwards. It was way too magnificent for an ordinary person. The sun shone too brightly through the large windows.

Johanna seemed sucked out of happiness, her face was all drained and pale looking, his words made her feel sick even more, she took 2 steps away after seeing the condition of him and the confessions he made.
