Chapter 5

       That day, after Cyrus and Alice got kidnapped, no one said anything. No one knew. Not even their own friends.

                                                ~~~    Jackson's Point Of View    ~~~

Cyrus and Alice said they would meet us in the cafeteria at lunch. They didn't tell us where exactly, but I was really sure they would be at the same place we always eat lunch at.

      Strangely, they were not there. We looked for them everywhere but still couldn't find them. We thought of calling them but their phones are both not working.

"What do you think they are doing?" Sally said worried,

"I don't know, I mean they told us they would be here. If they wanted to go somewhere else wouldn't they tell us? Like call us or text us?" I asked more to myself,

"Should we call Sheriff Issac, maybe if he knows anything?" that wouldn't be a great idea,

"I don't think so, even in the slightest chance they were skipping school, his father shouldn't know about it," I explained,

"Fine, but do you think they are okay?" honestly I don't know. But I don't want her to worry so I said, "I am sure they are fine, S,".

            I wake up to the strangest pain. My eyes couldn't adjust to the room quickly, because the room is all white and bright. As soon as my eyes adjust to the room, I swiftly looked around. There was a man in front of me grinning at me. Then to my right, there's Alice. She still hasn't woken up. She is all tied up on the chair. I looked at my chair and so am I. My feet are tied to the chair with a big rope, and my hands are tied on behind me together. My body is also tied to the chair. I can't move my body but I can definitely move my hands a little. I moved my hand to feel the back of my jeans and it's there. They must've not seen it, but now I have to wait for Alice to wake up and for this creepy guy grinning at me to...I don't know, turn around or sleep or something.

          After what felt like 20-25 minutes of staring at each other with the stranger, Alice wakes up. She is also adjusting to the room. Since the room was pretty white. Right when she notices where we are, her face fills with horror. She looked at me and I grin at her knowing what I will do.

  "Where are we?" She asks looking from me to the stranger and to me. Right when she saw the stranger, her eyes widen.

"Uncle Theo?" what?! He is her uncle?

"Hello, Alice," Stranger Theo says,

"What are you doing? Why are you doing this?" she says looking at him in disgust,

"Oh, Congratulations guys, mission accomplished. You two found The Silent Man," he says clapping.

          Alice and I look at each other in horror. He can't be. Why would the silent man just expose himself like this, unless he wants to kill us so the secret wouldn't go out. Shit! We need to act quickly.

      I looked at Alice and she looked at me confused. When I turn to look at Theo, he has his back to us clicking on his phone.

"Any last words?" he asks still typing on his phone his back turned to us. This is my chance. I push my hand in my jeans before pulling out the gun I stole from my dad's gun collection. I pull my hands up aiming to his chest.

"Any last words?" I ask back grinning. Alice looked at me with her jaws dropped to the ground. Theo turns around frowning. I grin at him before shooting him three times on the chest. Alice looks at me clearly wordless.

"I am sorry Alice," I didn't realize it was her uncle,

"Where did you get that from?!" she practically yells

"I can explain that later, Alice. We need to get out of here before others come," I said looking everywhere to find something,

"Wait look, the glass he was drinking with, we can break that and maybe use it to cut the rope. Let me do this," she pushes the chair to the glass. When she got to the glass, she pushes it with her head. It falls and breaks. I look around the door to check if anyone heard the glass break and no one did. While I check if anyone's coming, Alice starts cutting the rope with the broken glass. I hope this works.

          Ten minutes later, her arms are free. Right when she finishes her hands, she goes for her feet that are tied together. After she was free, she runs to my side and starts untying.

          I grab my gun from where it is when she finished untying. I hold my gun in front of me looking out for anyone coming while Alice looked for out phones.

"There!" she whisper-yells when she found our phones behind his desk,

"Alice hide someone's coming!" I call but not before a guy enters the room with a gun. Shit! I punch his face repeatedly until he passes out. I don't want to kill anyone else so I won't use my gun anymore. Alice watched me in horror as I fought the guy. When he falls on the ground passed out and all bloody, I grabbed Alice's hand and run out the door hiding in every corner to check if there are guards.

"Call Jack and tell him to bring his car to where your phone's location shows," I tell her looking at the guard standing at the front door,

"We have to call the police, not Jack," she whispers,

"No, we are not going to call my dad, A. What do you think would happen if he found out I stole a gun and killed the guy with it. Also, they will probably have the sirens on. The sirens can't be any good," I say not looking at her at all.

"Okay," she says and starts calling Jack. When he picks up she tells him exactly what I told her "Follow me," I say when she hangs up,

          Before we move, I heard footsteps approaching us. I punch the guy behind me once using all my force, enough for his to fall on the ground. I grab Alice's hand and run to the opposite left side and hide. When the door guard heard the bang, he runs to the right side with his gun where the other guy had fallen. Right when he bent down to check if the other guy is dead or not, I drag Alice slowly with me making sure we don't make any noise. I grab the door handle and slowly open it. I look back to see that the guy isn't there anymore. Shit. I run yanking Alice behind me and hide behind another corner. Alice's phone rings loudly and some guys including the guard run out of the door following the voice. She accepts the call when she notices the caller ID is Jack. Right, when she picked up, he says "We're here," she hangs up and gets up to run with me, but not before a guy stops us holding a gun at us. We put our hands up so it would trick him. When he turned around to call the others, I grabbed my gun and shot his right leg and his right hand where he was holding the gun with. He drops the gun and cries out for help and the others run toward him, half of them following us. One of them shoots but missed right beside my head and hit the glass door. The door Shatters into pieces making a great opportunity for us to get out of there.

      They shot again and missed and hit the other glass door. When it shatters into pieces I grab Alice and push her behind me. A sudden pain hits on the stomach. I look down at my bloody stomach and notice a piece of glass stuck in it. If I lose a lot of blood before we get out of here, I am going to pass out and put Alice in danger on her own. I won't be able to protect her. I hold the pain and run holding her hand while shooting behind me with the other hand.

        When we are out of their sight and find the car, we run as fast as our feet can take us. I couldn't run anymore. The pain starts getting worse and I start to get weak.

"Alice, help me, I can't run," I say in a low voice holding my stomach. She takes my hand and puts it around her shoulders.

"Jackson, Sally, help me get him in," she says dragging me by the waist.

"Shit! What happened to him," I hear Jackson yell followed by Sally.

    He takes my other hand and puts it around his shoulders while Sally opens the car door and waits for us.

                Before we make it inside the car, I heard them shooting again and the front glass of Jackson's car shatters.

  "Shit, they are here! Jackson help me get him inside! Sally get in the passenger seat and stay low! If they shoot again, they will shoot you!" Alice yells at them. Alice grabs my gun and starts shooting behind us while Jack settles me in the backseat of the car.

"Alright, Alice! Get in!" Jack shouts behind the noises of the gun shootings. Alice runs inside the car and right when she jumps in, Jack swerves the car and drives off. While Jack drives, Alice takes my shirt off and holds it on my stomach to stop the blood from gushing out. 

"Jackson! Go faster! They are following us with two cars!" I hear Alice say before I completely pass out.
