As she sat in the back of Nathan’s car that was being driven by his driver, all she could do to hold on to her sanity was to rest her head against Matthew’s shoulder. The sight of that actually seemed to drive Henry and Nathan both somewhat insane. Matthew took it in stride the only reason why she was reaching out to him like that was that he was the one that was there. It’s not like she actually had feelings for him, it’s just that he was familiar at that point. They still hadn’t quite decided where exactly they were going to place her, but Nathan had made some phone calls for a quick short-term lease of a house a couple of towns over. Unfortunately, it was the middle of the night so he wouldn’t be able to get anything done until the next day. They figured at least for the night that she would be safe with them in the hotel. She had nodded in agreement when they came up with the idea to completely buy out the floor if it wasn’t already rented out. At least just to keep the security of
The car arrived at the hotel shortly after she closed her eyes begin to rest comfortably. She was escorted inside to the waiting area while Nathan tried to arrange the room and also possible extra security for their floor. Unfortunately, as he soon found out the hotel in its entirety had already been sold out, and there was no extra room for her. Now the choice was up to her to pick which of the three that she was going to be spending the night in their place. Nathan and Henry already knew exactly who she was going to pick so did Matthew as he was wearing his typical smirk that could only be described as somewhat Viper-ish. As they entered the elevator to go to the top floor where the three penthouse suites were they already knew exactly where she was going to end up it wasn’t even a que
She watched the other her board the ship that had been in the pier in the old Japanese city, she had figured that much out at least she wondered if it was actually Kyoto or some other major city of the time she couldn’t exactly get a place in what time. It was only that it was centuries before. The men that she had watched as she walked with her head held high towards the ship they must have been Lords of some sort as they all gathered to see her off. As the other her, she fought the tears that showed that she did not want to be boarding the ship at all but had to because it was a diplomatic mission that she would go to a different island and act as a diplomat for the area that this encomp
The pair of them in the dark still huddled on the couch covered up with a blanket. He hadn’t even realized that he had drifted off the TV was still on it was now later and some new station was on broadcasting and showing pictures of her car and saying it was an isolated incident. That there had been no major fatalities. He was coming aware that she was awake too, and she was staring at him. Without even thinking he was rubbing her back in a slow circular motion. He was waiting to find out if she had figured out her dream. He was also waiting to find out which dream she had actually had. He didn’t have to wait very long.
When Kit finally woke up her first thought was, “where am I?” However, as soon as she heard the soft sound of Matthew breathing behind her, she remembered exactly where she was. She was about ready to try and stand and move to the outside of the bed however she couldn’t move Matthew’s arm was clenching her. The gentle pressure of his dead weighted arm holding her close to him was enough just to keep her there. It was a feeling that she didn’t know very well waking up next to somebody else, she and thought to herself that it wasn’t the worst feeling in the world to know that somebody wanted you that close when you’re vulnerable. Even though it was well past the time that she would typically wake up and start to get ready for work she knew that she wasn&
When the two walked down the hall fifty feet to Nathan’s room, the door opened automatically it was almost as they had been waiting for them to appear. Nathan for once was the one who opened the door, and he looked at the pair with virtually a disapproving look. He glared at Matthew who shrugged his shoulders and walked in. Nathan stared at her for a few minutes as he then motioned for her to enter as well. She did and the layout of the room was pretty much the same just flipped from Matthew’s. On the table, there was a spread of food laid out that seems to have some of everything. As he motioned for the food to be eaten Nathan took his seat at the head of the table. “Well, it looks like you got some rest at least.” He stated as he looked over the two that had just join
“Yeah I know are. She’s completely safe. She doesn’t work for you, and she isn’t affiliated with the military. She’s my sister.” She said as she was slightly confused and looking so at her sister as she walked in the room and whistled.“Nice place you got here. So, sis, this is who you’re holed up with? Where’d you find these guys not that I wouldn’t mind having to be locked in a room with them but seriously where did you find them?” Jenny asked as she moved forward and saw Henry and Matthew sitting there both with open expressions
