Her fate and his regrets

The kingdom of Elheim is a peacefull land, where the elves lives for decades, the kingdom is not like any other place, it is surrounded by mountains and plains filled with flowers. This blessed land is know only by their citizens and is protected by them so that no one would discover it. It is a place made by elves, only for the elves's well being.

And Eleanor lived among them since birth, but if the elves lived peacefully with each other that wasn't the case with Eleanor for as long as she could remember, she was not accepted by them because of her origins. Eleanor was born from an elf father and human mother, so it was always difficult for her, to bind with other kids her age. As a child, she could never understand why she was rejected, and since kids always shouted at her that she was weird,  she believed that it was her fault all along.

Elves have a different physical characteristics compared to human, they have pointing ears, their eyes colors were green or purple and their hairs are silky blond or brown. In that aspect Eleanor could see the slight difference with them like her hair that are clear blonde close to a diamond color and her blue eyes like the sky. And the most important fact, her ears that aren't pointing, because of that she would always hid them. The young Eleanor wanted to have friend, family and she wanted to be accepted by those with whom she lived. She was living in the palace of the royal family as a servant and at some point became friend with Elias the Prince, she learned a lot of thing thanks to him and one day at her 16th birthday she discovered a power she had, and that was the ability to see the futur. After that discovery, without knowing what to do, Eleanor told about the ability to her only friend Elias who shared that secret with her for a while until something unfortunate happened. The young Prince inadvertently told the secret to his grand mother the queen who had the same ability as Eleanor and that lead to the poor girl being secluded in a tower on the pretext of doing it to protect her.

She was emprisonned in the tower for two long years before she could escape from there on her own. Elias didn't know what happened to her, his grand mother told him that the young girl was send to another place for training and he thought that was the case but he was still suspicious of his grand mother and followed her one day. That's when he saw her visiting Eleanor in her tower.

"The fact that this power that is so dear to the elves species is now in your body....sigh, it is simply a malediction... how could a half human like you be the futur prophetess of our empire? No! never this! no one should know it. you will soon marry an elf I will chose for you, and of course it wouldn't be my Elias, he is destined to a pure elf, not you! I will chose someone adequate so that the power will stay in elheim kingdom, in our lineage." said the queen with her cold gaze on Eleanor.

"For people with this much pride, you sure do some disgusting things, locking up a person for two years and using them like you do. You are not better than the humans you belittle and hate so much." Eleanor replied while glaring at her and she continued, "I will never marry anyone nor will I stay her any longer...let me go!"

The queen looked at her with disgust before whispering, "why did he choose that filthy human woman....you would never have existed if it weren't for that woman."

Eleanor couldn't understand what the queen muttered but she felt like it was important, but then the queen laughted at her and left the room. After the queen left the room, Eleanor didn't have the time to delve on that thougth and quickly went toward the door, gripped it and drawned it her way. Clic!! the door opened she smiled at the finally successful attempt and said "Sigh! yeah! finally it worked."

She then quickly took her stuff, some food, water supply and left the room. She had prepared for this opportunity for a while, by using her power to see when the queen would come, prepared the necessity for her escape and tampered with the door again and again until it worked.

When she was about to leave the kingdom, at the frontier, Elias tried to stop Eleanor and while pleading he said,

"Lea!! where are you going! please don't leave...I-I know that what she did to you is horrible and I will resolve the injustice you suffered, I swear. So please trust me and come back with me."

Lea was the nickname he gave her, because he was someone dear to her. But unfortunately for him, Eleanor was resolute. She shut her eyes and replied,

"This egoistic old woman will no longer use me for her plans. No one will ever tries and use me, I swear to never have anything to do with this kind of powerful people that think they could do whatever they wish. So, I am sorry Elias but I am leaving Elheim for good. You are the only one that is dear to me here, so take care of yourself...".

She smiled with a sad expression and left without turning back because Elias's hurtful face would hurt her too much. Hence, in that instant she decided to never turn back and live her own life. Elias being an elf, couldn't put a foot out of their territory because the kingdom was protected by a magical barrier, but that restriction didn't apply for Eleanor who was half human. So helpless, he stood there shouting to Lea, but it was of no use, she was getting away with every step she took, and then before her figure disappeared from his sight he shouted toward her for the last time.

"I will find you Lea, I promise. I will find you and protect you....I am sorry, I couldn't help!" he cried with his hand forward like he was trying to reach her, but she was no longer by his side and that thought pierced his heart that got aware of the feeling he had for her. A feeling that contrary to human, stay in the heart of an elf for eternity 'I love her' those words whispered in his mind.

After her successful yet sad escape, Eleanor began her trip with a mind ful of hope about all the knew things she will discover, she was scared but she went forward and decided to face head on the fate that will await her in the futur.

Eleanor knew that the queen would never give up on the power she possessed and that she would surely send soldiers to fetch her back. That's why she took the path of the cursed forest, and that is how she began her adventure and met the cruel yet protective king Francis.
