"How much longer do I have to sit still?" Alex asks impatiently as Martha and George try to get her hair into a perfect curl as if that was even possible. Her hair is curly there's no such thing as perfect curl, at least not for her hair. She remembers, Sarah, her mom constantly having to battle with her hair every day of school when she was younger. It was painful almost every time she touched it, but she had to endure it if she wanted to look neat and pretty for school.
