3: Admire

Caramel- Roseline

I had my morning bath and dressed up in the bathroom because I was using the bathroom on the first floor (the main living room) since there wasn't one in my room.

I opened the door then poked my head out of the door to scan the whole place before hopping out of the bathroom.

I had been trying my best to avoid that man called a boss since I didn't want to get fired so early by opening this mouth of mine to talk.

Anytime I saw Jace, it really made me furious and I always felt like whacking the hell out of him and smacking insults at him.

I did retort to his words a lot of time and I was starting to make it clear to him that he had no right to insult me because I was his maid. It was always clear that it frustrated the hell out of him but I couldn't give him the chance to treat me like bullshit.

I went to my room that was way bigger than where I lived previously with seven men/boys and eight rugged male-in-female forms. No doubt I was so rude, crazy and so not timid.

It was quite nice of him to have made someone buy me my hair conditioner, detangler and other expensive shit to take care of my strong afro hair. I was really grateful for that but I knew I was going to sell them if I eventually ran out of cash.

For no good reason, I did a happy dance and danced crazily to no music before reminding myself that I had to act like a normal human being once again.

I wore my socks and shoes then left for the storage room to take out all the necessary equipment I needed to clean the house, ready to begin the day's work.

After I was done with cleaning the two-storey building house, I was so exhausted but there was no way I could forget the cleaning of the place I cleaned last all the time.

I knocked on the door to Jace's room, already feeling so disgusted about having to be in the same place as him.

I knocked again when he didn't respond to my first knock.

"Good morning, sir." I yelled for him to realise my presence at the other side of the door.

There was no way he wasn't in there. I had seen him walk to his room since mine was by the other end of the corridor, and I hadn't seen him come out of it.

CaRo, be sensible, princess moron, you weren't out of your room and also in the bathroom so it was possible that he could have left without you knowing that. It's not like he was going to inform you of his whereabouts.

I rolled my eyes at myself and turned the door knob, pushing the door inwards.

I let out a gasp when I was startled by his presence. He was seated on a chair a few feet away from the door. He had a laptop on his lap then was typing furiously on it.

So, he didn't open the door for me on purpose.

I cleared my throat to get his attention then he raised his head to glare at me.

"I was knocking but it seemed to me that you intentionally ignored me." I scoffed and settled my bucket, broomstick and the other equipment I was going to use to clean this place, on the floor.

"And what if I did so? Did I ask you to come in?" He replied in an irascible manner and hissed, setting his laptop on the table.

"You did do it on purpose." I shook my head. How could someone be this annoying?

He walked to me and jammed his hands into his pocket.

"Don't ever do that again, okay? Next time, when I don't tell you to come, don't ever come." He said with every form of seriousness plastered on his tone and face. "I don't want you and your dirty self causing a disturbance to me so I decided to ignore you but you were too gullible and you came in without my permission." He contemned.

I was instantly as cross as two sticks and my rainbow-colored, sugary, venomous blood was already boiling with a temperature as high as 3000°C.

"Sir, I strongly believe that you're being a snooty jer–" I didn't get to finish my sentence because he snapped his fingers abruptly.

"Don't mention it. I really hate it when you argue with me." He said through gnashed teeth, "you're a really rude maid and I believe you know that I'm your boss that hired you, and can also fire you anytime I want."

Then do it! I definitely didn't say that out. There was no way I wanted to lose this job. The pay was really high and it could help me to pay for an online school or something like that since I wasn't among the fortunate children that attended high school. I stopped schooling at middle school. But that didn't mean I was going to be dumb and acknowledge him being a dimwit towards me.

"I'm so sorry." I made sure to say that in a way that expressed that that was a mere prevarication.

"Now get me coffee, I'll be in the gym room. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly." After his words, he walked away.

I went to the kitchen and made him a coffee the way he liked it. I didn't want to get insulted again, especially when it was my fault.

I was cursing him as I made the coffee.

"Wash my hands? How insultive? How dense of him?"

I felt like shoving my hands into his coffee and then giving it to him like that, just for payback. I knew I was quite stupid, but not that stupid to take such revenge on him.

I laughed as the thought of it kept ringing in my head.

Mama sheep always taught me to dance when you're angry. Haven't you ever noticed sheeps dance after a fight? (I've been there).

I kept on laughing at myself then took his coffee to his gym room.

The door wasn't locked so I didn't bother to knock.

I spotted him lifting one huge baby of weights.

He was shirtless and only wearing a black sweatpants, advertising his super hot body. His body was so muscular and beautifully well-defined.

The sweat beads that glistened on his forehead only made me realise how hot he looked.

His body was glowing due to the sweat that flickered on it. His very well-defined six pack abs were really killing.

How come I didn't realise how hot he looked and had been working for him for a few weeks now.

I didn't know how long I stared at him to admire his beauty but I definitely did stare for long.

My long gone sense cane back to life when his gaze shifted to me.

"I knew something seemed to be of inconvenience to the atmosphere." He gruffed then took a towel to dry his sweaty body from his sweat. I really wondered if this jerk ever smiled in his life.

Yes, he was back at this. He was only hot but it was clear that he had no brains.

"Here's your coffee." I held out the coffee to him and he collected it and turned around. Not even a thank you? Oh, I should have just shoved my hands into the coffee or used the toilet water to make it.

I turned to take my leave.

***

It's been a few more weeks now

He had travelled for a business trip a few weeks ago and I was really good. It made it seem like I owned the house since I was alone.

"Freedom from the devil." I smirked.

I took my phone from the nightstand and went on the internet to search for many more beautiful clothes to save on my phone. Jace had a super-fast wifi installed so I watched movies and other boring things on the internet.

I downloaded the images of clothes, shoes, jewelries and other cool stuff I had always loved to buy but didn't have money for.

I loved fashion a lot but I couldn't afford it so I downloaded images of hot dresses from the internet for future purposes. Just in case I eventually had money in the future.

I received a message from Oscar Hart, a friend of mine. Oh! Yeah, he was a friend, the only person I could call a friend.

"Hello Caline, how're you today? I was wondering if you and I could go for dinner tonight." His message read.

Oh my gosh, I'd have love to.

"Sorry, I can't. I work as a personal maid so I'm busy. I'm very sorry to disappoint you." I replied to his message.

"Oh, no problem at all. I guess later then." He texted back.

Oscar was this dude I used to have a crush on. I had met him on a day I couldn't remember, in a place I also couldn't remember.

I had a crush on him but it eventually faded. We were still good friends and I still considered him hot and cute.

My phone soon rang and I lazily stared at its screen.

Why the hell was Jace calling me? I frowned.

"Hello?" I said on answering his phone call.

"I'll be coming home today and my girlfriend will come too, so you should cook for us and make sure everywhere is clean, okay?" He rushed.

"Okay." I squinted my eyes.

"Bye." He said precipitously and ended the call. That was weird and very brief.

"Now my freedom from this frigid and frustrating boss was gone, oh no!" I jumped to my feet and went to the kitchen to make a quick but very good meal.

So he had a girlfriend? She was going to be living a hard life coping with him. Why would anyone think to date such a brainless person?

***

I opened the door after the doorbell rang persistently and I checked the camera by the side of the door from the inside and it was Jace.

"Good afternoon, Jace." I greeted him, even when I really didn't feel like it.

"Good afternoon." He replied and walked in, hastily taking off his shoes, socks, tie and suit, littering the neatly cleaned living room with it.

He scuttled up the stairs then I cleared his shoes and suit, socks, and tie from where he had littered it then took it upstairs to the washroom.

Where was the so-called girlfriend?

After I made sure to arrange his things, I went back downstairs and washed my hands clean.

The doorbell rang and I guessed that it was his girlfriend.

He sprinted down the stairs and helped me out with opening the door.

"Baby?" She squealed then they both connected their lips.

"How're you?" He said frigidly and held her waist, leading her in.

Something seemed familiar about this girlfriend of his but I couldn't seem to place my finger on it.

"Kylie, do you think it'd be right to go today?" He asked her.

"I don't think so."

Oh my gosh! "Kylie Kingsley?!" I screamed.

She looked at me in confusion. I was a fan of hers. I had watched only two of her movies and I loved her character so much.

I ran to her and involuntarily wrapped my arms around her happily.

"What the hell!" She squealed then pushed me away forcefully.

I didn't expect such a reaction but I managed to maintain my balance from falling.

"How dare this filthy maid of yours touch me? She has no manners. Look at your grubby self. Are you mad?!" She spat exasperatedly.

"I'm just a fan of yours. I–" I retorted in total puzzlement.

"Shut up, just shut it." She raised her hand to indicate that I kept quiet. Why? She didn't own my mouth!

"Jace honey, I need a sanitizer." She said and held Jace's arms. "You need to fire this filthy thing you call a maid."

Jace seemed to be inconvenient with her touch and wiggled himself free from her grip.

"I'll be back." He said quietly and left our sight.

Did I just stare at this woman whilst she insulted me? There was no way 'I' just did that.

"What are you still doing waiting here, you fool? Get out of here and wash yourself before serving our food!" She hissed, furrowing her forehead to a serious frown.

"And what makes you think you have the right to insult me?" I walked closer to her, folding my arms over my chest.

She looked shocked to hear that from me and widened her eyes. Did she think I'll just apologise and walk away?

"Pardon? Did you just have the guts to talk back to me, you scumbag?" She scoffed and moved closer to me.

"Of course, I did. And, what're you gonna do 'bout that?" I smirked.

She huffed repeatedly, fanning a hand over her face in disbelief.

"You should know that you're toying with your job right now." She stated.

"You should know that you're being a crazy bitch right now." I placed a hand on my waist.

"What did you call me?" She growled with her teeth gritted.

"A stupid, crazy bitch! The one that's extremely dumb." I repeated. "Just because I'm a maid to your 'boyfriend' doesn't mean you get to insult me whenever you like, I'm not taking that shit." I said, air-quoting the word 'boyfriend' with my fingers.

"Shut up."

"Uhn?"

"I said shut up!" She yelled this time, snapping her eyes shut to emphasize her yelling.

"Crazy Billionaire's like you really need to learn that you shouldn't be snooty and look down your nose at people of lower-class all because you're rich."

"So, do you mean we should smile and be jovial with rags like you." That word was enough to lose the last screw that held my brain in place.

"I bet you didn't just say that." I chuckled sarcastically.

"Why the hell am I speaking with you? You're one rude and mannerless maid so I believe you should be taught a lesson." She smirked and moved backwards since we were already too close to each other.

She raised her hand and was about to hit it on my face harshly.

Her action was too quick for me to do anything like hold her hand or weave it so that slap hit me on my right chest harshly.

"Gift?!" Jace's voice barked from behind us.

I stared at him as he stormed towards us. I couldn't really tell what he was thinking but it was clear that he had been standing there for a while longer than now.

His facial expression was too blank to read whether or not he was going to yell at me for insulting his girlfriend.
