30. The Vision

One more day.

I was getting antsy, and she was starting to realize it.

We were lying in bed ready to end the day. I was spooning her, trying to keep my feelings under control.

"Arkael?"

"I'm good Shani, it's just that we've been here too long already. And I can't wait to get back up." I started kissing her neck and pulling her close to me.

What if everything goes wrong tomorrow? I don't want her to shed a tear for me. I don't ever want her to be sad.

"No something is wrong, I could feel it." She said looking into my eyes.

"Just the war, it's alerted to me, and with Ranulf still in recuperation, I'm doubting myself. Look...why don't...you...take my mind off of it?" I started kissing her with each pause, and kiss her deeper at the end of my explanation.
