Dominant Leap

A species whose curiosity knew no bounds yearned for knowledge and every secret that the universe had to offer. They called themselves ‘Humans’.

For a very long time, they found no trace of life and believed they were alone in the vast cosmos. Harboring an unbound curiosity for their existence, they grew into capable beings and kept exploring in the so-called “Local group” of galaxies.

A Paradox termed as the ‘Fermi Paradox’ states conflict between the argument that probability seems to favor intelligent life being common in the universe, but strangely there was a total lack of evidence of intelligent beings having ever arisen anywhere other than on their planet.

Humans concluded two possibilities. First, that there were no intelligent species anywhere in the universe. Humans got really really lucky,  and they evolved until this point and will continue to evolve further.

The second possibility, and a frightening one at that. Humans were on the same route to extinction as other races. Ultimately, none of the previous survived this unknown existential doom and that’s why they didn’t exist and couldn't be found.

Since there was no discernible trace of any advanced galactic civilization, they must have reached a certain point when they became extinct by either annihilating themselves or got destroyed by some other omnipotent force.

With both hypotheses in mind, humans grew more capable with technology and several years later were ready to branch out in outer-space. The first artificial colonization of the planet finished after years of struggle and expenditure of a goliath amount of resources.

However, all of a sudden they received an unknown message as an encoded-warning from otherworldly beings who called themselves “Deities”.

The message when decoded stated the announcement of the existence of a higher cosmic presence and a threat of total annihilation of humanity in case of rejecting to sign the treaty of cosmic stability.

Three laws of the treaty of cosmic stability :

1- In case humans encounter a scenario where humans pose a threat to other species to the brink of utter annihilation, then Deities will have all the rights to dismantle humankind from the universe.

2- The outer space will remain a neutral realm for all perpetuity while forbidding the placement of all classes of space-based weapons beyond the omega-level. From which, no hostile action shall ever be taken against other beings in the universe. If humans tried to break the law, the Deities would have all the rights to dismantle humankind from the universe.

3- Humankind will remain hidden from all infant species that are yet to cross the barrier of cosmic expansion. If humans try to break the law, the Deities will have all the rights to dismantle humankind from the universe.

“We need the above three laws to be followed with utmost sincerity. In case of a breach, we will hold humankind responsible for the misconduct. This is neither a warning nor a request, but the enforcement of jurisdictions.”

“To prove that ‘Deities’ hold a certain amount of power and subsequently proving that this message is not a fabrication of a cheap facade. In the next 24 hours, we will destroy the first colonized planet by humankind to utter annihilation.”

“The destruction of the artificially colonized planet by humankind is non negotiable. It will surely happen. But, this is just proof of the power and preemptive disciplinary action, so the time of destruction is negotiable in order to protect the resources and lives of humankind.”

“If Humankind anyhow cannot abide by the above treaty, every trace of humankind will surely be removed from the universe.”

The Treaty of Cosmic Stability overwhelmed humanity to its core. They now realized why there had previously been no discernible intelligent species. It was not difficult to conceal their presence from a lower race in the wide cosmos using limitless technology.

It was because of this treaty they must have all abided by.

Every alien race must have understood the fact that it was impossible to judge the behavior of an unknown species and their level of aggression, so the only way to counter this problem was either ATTACK THEM the moment you DETECT THEM for your survival. Or cut yourself from the path of evolution, and stay very, very quiet on your planet, and hope that no one intrudes.

Every intelligent species must have had the same idea. Thus, no intelligent species will prefer to choose the second option, knowing that the next step is the extermination of their entire race.

Humans signed the treaty only to see their first space colony destroyed in seconds. Its annihilation was superfluous, but it was a rational cosmic process that they had to submit to.

After that, every human heard a cracking sound in their minds. They had the impression that numerous presences were staring at them, but the impression quickly faded. They were now  prepared to engage with numerous additional sentient species.

This encounter of humans with other-worldly beings and their registration as an adult species in the spectrum of cosmos later was called “The Great Cognizance Expansion”.

There were several species, some aggressive and some not. This interaction with these different creatures was eye-opener for humans.

They soon realized that there was a great tug of war going on for the resources of the galaxies. Several factors determined the spot in cosmic hierarchy  the most notable of them was ‘Strength’.

Everybody had to follow the treaty, but the loopholes were fairly obvious. The treaty prohibited the use of weapons beyond omega-level. Yet competitions, negotiations, diplomacy, and fights for self-improvement still existed.

Humans had great potential, unfortunately they were lacking in their overall strength.

They have investigated sutras (Aphorisms), Vidya (Arts), Abhyasa (Practices), and Kala (Craft) from many races throughout the world. However, none of these tactics or skills provided them with the radical strength needed to contend with the superior beings.

Humans were weak.

As time passed, they found themselves in the lowest order of hierarchies of the cosmic spectrum. Humanity continued to lose their territories, their resources, and many times their lives too.

Weapons were not some type of secret knowledge reserved just for humans; every species had its own, sometimes even better. Humans were on the losing end of the battle.

The presence of Cosmic Unions and Federations couldn't do much either since their job was just to maintain a limited pseudo-balance, prevent extremists from revolutions, and prevent the incitations of war from extreme retaliations.

Political agendas, extremism, crimes, a sense of superiority, or the notion of vengeance were never foreign concepts among intelligent species, be it either human or any other. The religious sects and cults were taking over society, civil wars often broke out, mutinies were led by the frustrated. Situation didn't look good

After the cognizance expansion, humanity lost over a million lives all over planet earth because of internal strikes, revolution, and protests. Including the ones that went for the resource gathering and negotiations.

Fortunately, Humanities had a knack for technological advancements.

The most helpful innovation was a blue-colored serum known as the ‘flux-serum’. An organization named ‘Eon Techs’ created the aforementioned. The head researcher’s name was Tang Lie, a brilliant mind behind the creation of flux-serum at the mere age of 19.

He came up with a solution composition that could temporarily increase the size of blood vessels and strengthen the heart. It would also create a massive blood rush to the entire body with ridiculous inflation of raw strength at the expense of the individual’s life-force.

The person on ‘flux-serum’ would become capable enough to destroy an entire battalion with an average of 500 soldiers all by himself. He would truly become a super-soldier.

The man’s dexterity, level of agility, perception, and strength would rise above the charts.

Unfortunately, the flux-serum had a major flaw. It was a one-time use product after that person would meet his demise when effects of serum wear off. The soldier would eventually die, but this was hope for humanity.

Therefore, the squad of soldiers on serum was called the ‘suicide squads’.

A group of 50 people could wreak havoc in the fields and were an equal match to 25000 individuals that were either equal or a level higher than them in strength.

Flux Serum gave humans a bleeding edge to at least be capable enough to sit on the table in negotiations with the extraterrestrials, who were neither too low nor high level in the cosmic spectrum.

This led to the gain of minor relief to forces of the military in the battle of attrition. However, several years later, an event transpired that shook the entire cosmos.

After 100 years of constant struggle and sustenance at the same level, humans discovered an unusual and ambiguous phenomenon, shattering many pre-defined concepts. This phenomena was just too strange for the entire cosmos to comprehend.

There were visible breaches in the fabric of space-time.

These cracks were endlessly deep, making it difficult to determine why they existed. With the help of several brilliant minds working together, humans eventually discovered that these massive rifts in space and time were actually portals to other worlds.

They discovered the worlds of Akashik Glitch, a very dominant leap for Mankind.
