Elated at Dad’s approval to let me stay back in South Africa. I was beyond joyous at his affirmation that morning when Mom gave me the news. Mom was grinning too seeing how happy I was. I had no doubt she must have a hand in Dad changing his mind. I thanked her appropriately before entering the car. George was already sitted with Dad who ignored me as I took my seat at the backseat.
