52: Little bundle of Joy
Two Months Later
I tuck Alex's hand into his little gloves before putting his beanie on. He's two months old today and I'm taking him to see Jay. She's still not up and I'm still waiting, I'll will keep waiting.
I would've stayed at the hospital with Jay throughout the months but I had to be with Alex. Standing in the C-S room that day, my heart couldn't contain the joy I felt when I held Alex in my arms. He was my little miracle, I and Jay's miracle. A little bundle of joy. The tiny thing easily crept into my heart, stealing it. Somehow, he had more of Jay's features on him and it had me contented for the time being.
Mrs Roberto walks into the room with a smile on her face. I let her take Alex in her hands, letting her rock him about. She looked proud and happy each time she saw her grandchild and I know how much she wished Jay was here to witness all of this.
