“How long have you been there?”

“Long enough to hear you sing while you pee.”

“You were watching me?!”

“It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked.”

“Wow, ok, this isn’t weird or embarrassing!” I huff at him and turn back towards the house, but my boot gets stuck on a fallen cornstalk and I trip. Colin is quick and catches me before I fall.

“You know, you’re clumsy when you drink. I always end up catching you.” He places me back on my feet while still holding his hand on my lower back.

“Well then it’s a good thing you were here to catch me, Mr. Creepy!” I say way too sarcastically. The moonshine is kicking in for sure.

“Ellie, I’ve given you space this week to think. I’ve done my own thinking too. It didn’t take long for me. I’ve had my mind made up the minute we started kissing in the woods. I want you and no one else. I will do anything to prove that to you.”
