The Altundral Princess

Chapter eight

 Beven's point of view

I watch as nebulas escort the princess from the room before following the king and Makkan down to the holding cells in the palace.

Once we reach the cells, we find the palace guard holding six men. These men all look like altundrals.

The king walks in first, and we follow behind.

King Halturian stands at his full height, looking down at the men as he demands.

"Who are you, and what do you want with my daughter."

"We are Altundrals." One of them replies.

The king throws his head back, laughing as he says.

"You are not from Altundral I know each and every one of my people. Who are you, and what do you want with my daughter?"

None of them answers as they all look at each other the king walks over to the nearest man. He towers over him, looking down at him. I watch in awe as the king holds out his hands an icy blue light swirls around the room stopping before the man in front of him, the man turns into an ice statue in front of our eyes. The remaining five men all look terrified as the king asks them.

"last chance to reveal yourselves or you will each  follow his fate."

I watch as the men in front of us change from the pale white of Altundrals into ghastly red Aliens.

King Halturian, frowns as he says,

"You are vogsherian? What the hell are you doing on Altundral and what do you want with my daughter Princess Deliah Blue?."

One of the men replies in a shaky voice.

"Our leaders want the God Abrus to claim back his brother's throne."

  Halturian looks at him.

"Why do you need my daughter? Why does he need my daughter to claim the throne?"

The king yells as the men shrink into the corner of the cell. One of the men finally replies.

"Abrus has been in a coma for many years none of the healers have been able to awaken him. They heard of your daughter's powers. The leaders want to awaken the God."

"who are these leaders," I ask

"They are Jalebs former palace guards; they have been rebuilding their army ready to retake vogshere." He replies

King Halturian, turns to look at them as he says.

"They think they can come to Altundral and take my daughter?"

"Yes, King Halturian." The man replies as he looks at the ground

The king turns to Makkan, his face filled with fury as he says.

"Get Galen to prepare our army we leave for vogshere tonight."

"Yes, king Halturian." My stepfather Makkan replies.

We leave the cells leaving the men under the king's guards. King Halturian leads us to the grand hall as more and more of the king's guards pile into the room.

Prince Galen comes striding into the room along with Prince Derriel and Prince Davin. I look around the room; these large men dominate with their presence.

Prince Galen looks at his brother as he says.

"You called for me brother?"

"Yes." The king replies, looking back at his brother as he explains why these men were on Altubdral,

Prince Galen raises his eyebrows as he asks.

"So what do you want to do?"

The King replies.

"We need to go to vogshere I'm not going to sit here and wait for them to come back and take the princess."

Prince Galen nods his head as he says.

"I agree we need to find this God before someone does wake him."

Makkan stands to his feet as he looks at the King.

"And finish Jalebs army, once and for all."

Prince Galen looks at Makkan with concern as he says,

"Jaleb's army has had twenty years to rebuild; we have no idea how big they are."

King Halturian rises to his feet as he bellows

"Bring in our Allies. we will finish them for good."

prince Davin looks at his father as he says

"I'm in."

Prince Derriel stands up

"me two."

King Halturian turns to me, as he says.

"I know you would want to be with us Beven, but your job is to protect the princess, my daughter. I need you here with her. I will be leaving part of the army behind to protect The palace, the Queen and princess."

I nod my head. I would like nothing more than to hunt down these leaders and their God, but the thought of leaving Deliah behind terrifies me.

King Halturian then turns to his oldest son and heir to the throne, prince Derriel,

"Prince Derriel I need you to stay on Altundral should anything happen to me you are the King and the Altundrals will need a leader in my absence."

Prince Derriel clenches his fists as he nods his head in understanding.

Prince Davin says.

"you know I'm coming, father."

King Halturian chuckles as he says

"I know I couldn't stop you, Son."

David looks at his father

"I'll kill these people who think they can take away my sister."

I'm left alone in the hall with the two princes; prince Davin walks over to me.

"I'm Sorry, Beven. I haven't always been kind to you; I understand you only have my sisters best interest at heart."

I sigh as I say

"she's your sister; I get it."

The prince looks at me as he asks.

"You really care about her, don't you?"

I smile as I reply,

"I love her so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

David raises his eyebrows as he says.

"As in your mate?"

I nod my head

"Yes."

"Just don't hurt my sister," Davin says

"I promise you, Davin, I could never hurt Deliah Blue."

 David nods his head

"And I promise you Beven I will take down whoever it is who thinks they can take the princess away from us."

I reply,

"Thank you, Davin, I must admit I would like to get my hands on the fuckers."

"You and me Both Beven just look after my sister while we're gone."

"I will," I whisper as Davin turns to leave the room, he says

"That's all I need to know Beven."

He leaves the room, leaving me alone with Derriel. I guess we've both got a lot to take care of.

I look over at him as I say.

"Are you okay with not going?"

Prince Derriel looks at me.

"It is my duty as a future King to take care of Altundral in my father's absence."

He walks from the room with a heavyweight on his shoulders.

I make my way back upstairs to Deliah's room. Knocking on the door.

"It's only me, Princess," I call out

"Come in Beven." She replies.

The door opens, and Deliah throws herself into my arms, I wrap my arms around her as she giggles."

Delilah laughs as she says,

"you're smelling my hair again Beven."

I chuckle,

"I can't help it, Princess, you smell so fucking good."

Delilah looks at me as she whispers

"Did you find out who the men were?"

I sigh as I reply.

"Yeah there from vogshere part of an old army who want to retake the planet. Their God is sleeping, and they are hoping you could wake him."

she shivers in my arms as she asks

"So, what happens now?"

I pull her closer as I reply,

"Your father is going to visit with His Army and allies."

Princess Deliah Blue looks up to me fear written on her face, as I say

"I'm not going anywhere, baby. I promised your father to keep you safe, and the best way to do that isn't to stay by your side.

she lifts her head smiling at me."

I know I could never leave her.

Authors note

Can Beven keep the princess safe? The gods are about to be woken.

Love always
