Alexander POV

I tightened my hold on Zoey firmly and pulled her in my embrace before asking, “What’s wrong baby?”

Zoey just shook her head and continued to revel in my embrace but didn’t answer my question. I knew it won’t be easy to get her to open up to me about the matter since she was not even uttering a Yes or No. I rubbed my hand on her back and felt her relax in my arms before patting her head in a loving gesture and whispered, “IF you won’t tell me then I won’t know baby. Tell me what’s bothering you?”

Zoey didn’t move a muscle at my question and I sighed knowing she doesn’t want to answer. I decided to drop the matter when her almost inaudible voice reached my ears. “I feel like a slut for jumping on you the first moment I got.”
