"Death lord?" Ella asked wanting to confirm if what she heard was right. She turned to look at the Death lord in front of her.

She remembered what she told him earlier; she told him his nickname was bad and had suggested he chose something better not knowing she was speaking to the man himself.

Was that why he didn't say anything? She asked herself. She also thought he was deaf and dumb. Her eyes widened in realisation and she felt like collapsing that moment.

She has finally come to meet her end by speaking without thinking. No one had trespass and escaped from the clutch of the Death lord without getting killed or loosing a part of their body.

Cyprus grabbed Ella arms in an harsh way and she winced in pain. "You bitch! You sure don't know anything at all!" Cyprus spat out.

"You will surely meet your end! My Lord, what should we do with her?" Cyprus asked.

Immidately Ella fell to the floor crying and begging, "I am so sorry, i...I..." She stuttered while crying. She wasn't ready to die, she didn't know anything and Mimi had warned her to control her mouth.

This couldn't be the end of her story? She said within herself. She hasn't been to a proper college, she was just 21 and hasn't properly had a boyfriend before.

"I didn't know...I..." She stuttered whilst crying. Whenever she was scared, nervous or in a difficult situation, she always stuttered and this was proof to that.

"Take her to the blue garden," the Death lord ordered as he turned to walk away, Ella held unto his legs begging him to please not kill her.

"Let go of his leg, you bitch!" Cyprus shouted, kicking her hands off the Death lords leg. She winced in pain.

The Death lord turned to look at Ella, she was crying so but he didn't care. "I need her tied to the log before I get to the blue garden, you hear me," He said to cyprus, as usual, his voice was low and calm.

"Please!" Ella cried. Cyprus pulled Ella up with her hair and she cried in pain. "You better shut up! Next time you won't go around spitting words without thinking! How dare you? You really ordered the Death lord, didn't you?" Cyprus scoffed.

"You sure have guts, a big one too. You are lucky he didn't kill you on the spot. Now let's teach you some manners," Cyprus spat out dragging Ella with him as she cried out begging for pardon.

Once Cyprus tied Ella to the log in the blue garden, he waited for the Death lord to come. Ella cried, pleaded and apologised for speaking out of place but all her tears and plea were in vain.

She wished she never encountered him in this first place, she wished she never came to Narlands.

Money was indeed the root of all evil, money pushed her to come here and that same money even though she knew Narlands was a dangerous place pushed her to keep working.

Now she was doomed and she had no child to carry on her linage, it was the end for her. The Death lord finally came to the blue garden in a different outfit entirely.

The name blue garden was gotten from the so many lives lost while in the blue garden. The name blue represented the sky; the sky being your limit which in other words meant, you cannot get to the end of the sky but you can get to your end in this garden.

"Please don't kill me!" She shouted once she saw the Death lord. "I didn't mean any of the words I said, I am really sorry! Spare me another chance and I won't make the same mistake anymore!" She cried out loud.

The Death lord said nothing as he held unto the grip of the gun. He smirked, the look on her face sent warmth to his belly and he felt relieved.

He held unto the trigger, Ella cried out pleading but she knew there was no stopping, the Death lord was surely not a man of mercy.

Slowly the Death lord pulled the trigger and the sound boom was heard.

Silence! Everywhere was silent, no one said nothing. The birds chirped as they flew away.

Ella slowly opened her eyes as she looked at her body, she wasn't shot.

But he pulled the trigger at her and she was sure there was bullet as she saw the bullet coming at her. She wondered if she was dead and already in heaven.

Then she looked at the Death lord. He didn't shoot her, but he did shoot towards her direction but not at her. He didn't kill her.

The Death lord gave the gun to one of his men then pulled off his hand gloves. "Release her, let her join the other maid and tell her the do's and don't," he ordered cyprus.

"Yes my Lord," cyprus said bowing his head. The Death lord walked away while cyprus rushed to free Ella.

Cyprus was shocked, no one has ever gone scott free from the hands of the Death lord, as long as you are brought to the blue garden, you must die or you loose a part of your body.

The Death lord didn't kill her but instead he asked them to teach her the do's and don't, something he has never done in his life.

Maybe the Death lord wasn't in the mood to kill or maybe he wanted to fuck her first and then kill her later after all, the girl was indeed pretty.

The Death lord wondered why he didn't feel the urge to kill the girl, it wasn't something he took lightly. Killing was part of his hobby but he let her go. Maybe because she was the first person who treated him differently and spoke to him like every other normal person in the world.

Maybe it was because of the way she looked at him and how she spoke without caring? Maybe it was because of how she was composed around him and felt different unlike the people he had encountered.

She was different that was for sure and when she said the Death lord should have used a better name other than the one he used to scare people off made him want to laugh but he held still.

He didn't plan on punishing her but he wanted to put fear in her. No one dared spoke to him and looked into his eyes but she did.

He had never been treated as the same as others but she did. And for a moment, that feeling was nice, the feeling of not being known for your status and being spoken to freely.

No one dared spoke casually with him but she did and how she giggled when she spoke were like music to his ears.

He had never felt this way before but still he wasn't one to go soft on anyone and when she called him her friend even without knowing him, he wanted to tell Cyprus to let it go but he was the Death lord, no one crossed paths with him and went free.

She needed to know who he was and so he decided to put fear in her with no intentions of killing her.

The look she had on her face, made him smile, something he rarely did.

"Ella fitzgerald, who are you?" The death lord asked.
