Max looked at Deanna and now understood what Kit had been trying to get through to him. She was the one at the center of this entire family but she was not responsible though she might feel that way. Mitsuhide had felt guilty because of his decision to keep June alive when it would have been easier to let her go. He had tried to distance himself at the time and lost completely when everything went to hell for him.
Deanna was willing to walk away from her life that she had with him because she thought she was the toxic one. He wanted to hug her and strangle her at the same time. He looked at her holding one of their twin sons. There was nothing but true love there in her eyes. She looked up to him.
“They don’t look like me at all.” She said as she smiled. “That’s okay though. We have enough of those that do.”

The doctor looked over the two people and then back to the charts of the new intakes he had to process. He looked back and forth to the people in front of him as they continued to talk. I am thinking that because of this development the trail will be halted and more charges are going to be brought. Max went into the room and saw that Dean was still under the desk. He smiled that way when he poked his head out from under the desk and he eased up a bit. Max had the keys to his father’s car that Mitsuhide had handed him before they left. He really didn’t want to go back to the house. He dreaded going back. As Max left the room with the boy holding his hand it made every other adult in the room stop and look at him. He knew they had thought the area was completely clear but it wasn’t and that had everyone of them do a double take. The acting supervisor of the scene finally cleared his throat, “Who are you and who is that?”“I am Detective Max Anderson of the Highlands police department. The guys here know me. This is my wife’s house now. This guy is Dean. The Medics that were there at the scene looked over Dean quickly and he was sent via ambulance to the hospital to join the others. Max was in the car riding behind them.
