Chapter 82

"Doc, I need you in the clinic. Now!" Sean's loud and frightened voice pierced into my ears.

I turned my head sideways to look and tell him I didn't need Dr. Mimi. She could treat my signs of mild dehydration but not its cause. However, Sean was white as paper as he stared at me, his eyes as wide as his opened mouth. I just lost the energy to stop him.

I panted in exhaustion as my episodes of vomiting drained my strength. Drops of sweat trickled down my temples, and my skin was cold and clammy to my touch. My knees wobbled, and before my vision turned into a complete shade of black, my feet lifted off from the floor. Sean carried me to the clinic.

Dr. Mimi personally inserted an IV line in my arm, running a plain Lactated Ringer's solution afterward to replace my fluid and electrolyte loss.
