It had been three weeks since the break in. It was a few days after Julia was discharged when my cell rang. A name, one I hadn’t seen for a while, was flashing on my phone. I knew immediately what was wrong.
“Kirsty are you ok?” I asked.
“I need help Ryan.” She begged.
“You been getting visits too, eh?” I sighed.
“Yeah, they were here last night. One of them keep touching me. He keeps saying he is going to have sex with me. I’m scared that he’s going to rape me.” Anger washed over me. You don’t fucking threaten that.
“The fuck he is! Leave it with me, don’t go to work, don’t leave the apartment and make sure you have solid locks put on your door. I will speak to my Prez and we will make sure you are safe.”
