Chapter Fourteen: Josh the player
"No, Josh," I said, moving my head aside, not wanting him to kiss me anymore.
"What is wrong?" he asked me. "Aren't you enjoying this as well?"
I moved away from him, hiding my body with my sheet and sat at the side of the bed, while he rested on his knees in the middle of the bed, anxious to touch me again.
I heard his heavy breathing while he stared at me.
"Don't you forgive me, Rose?"
I suddenly felt a strange feeling within me, hatred of the name he had given me.
"My name is not Rose," I snapped.
I felt the bed move as he rolled over to sit next to me. He ran the back of his hand against mine. I quickly got up and walked toward the closed door, standing in front of it, facing Josh.
He lowered his head in disappointment and stared at the floor. Then he lifted his head and stared back at me. "What can I do to make you trust me again?" he asked me, seeming to be sad.
I then remembered his mate, my cousin Emma.

Christian walked back toward the couch and sat. He wanted her to see that he had no intention of hurting her. He wanted to know who had filled his mate's head with rubbish, causing her to fear him. Questions filled my head about the large dark beast who was in the passageway fighting his father for me. Why was he protecting me? Why did he visit me in the forest?
