Chapter 19
LISA POV
Today was long. My muscles ache from overuse, and my clothes are soiled. The summer heat has been relentless. My men moved slowly today, and our progress stalled. But I can't risk my crew getting heatstroke.
Emmett should be here any minute for the walkthrough. Which if I'm being honest, the walkthroughs have been reduced to heavy makeout sessions.
I'm scribbling todays notes in my spiral when Emmett wraps his strong arms around my waist and lays his chin on my shoulder. I'm happy I am a tall woman, or our cuddles wouldn't fit so perfectly. I sigh as the tingles release the tension in my shoulders. I ran the circle saw all day today, and my shoulders/back are killing me for it.
