The handwriting wasn’t familiar. That was the first thing I noticed about the note that Jake had found beneath my pillow. The second was that a certain scent clung to the paper. At once it seemed familiar and yet foreign.

“I don’t like this,” Jake said as I took the note from his hand.

I was glad he was with me. As much as I was used to some crazy ass things happening around me. This had shaken me to know that someone had been in my room while I was sleeping. I was a Lycan for hell’s sake.
