Paige woke up with a start in the middle of the night. She was in a place she didn’t know and was slightly frightened until she heard the soft breathing of the man in the back of her, which she had also awoken when she nearly jumped out of the strange bed. “Something wrong, sweetheart?” he asked his voice laced with sleep and was deeper than she remembered it to be. She felt bad for waking him up as well as giving herself a mini-heart attack.
“I didn’t know where I was for a second.” She said as she settled down for a moment and let her heart stop racing. It would just take a few minutes to get it calmed down to the point she could relax again.

Milo kept to his word and woke her at sunrise, knowing that she would have to take another shower for the day. He was glad he had moved a few of his suits into the closet already, and he helped her in the shower quickly as they knew soon the building would be coming to life again. “Have you decided where to place most of these?” she asked.“Is it too late to say at our new house?” Milo asked with a laugh. “Sweetheart, I think there are a few too many things in here.”“No, there isn’t. I have seen offices much more than just packed with plants. It is the placement of them that will make the office look good.” Paige said as he looked at her.“Please, then by all means. I will lift the trees, and you can tell me where to put them.” He said as he rolled up his sleeves. “Remember, we don’t have real tasks to do for the rest of the week.”“So, are you asking me to take my time?” she asked.“You have permission to be less efficient then you normally are,” he said with a grin. “I am sure that it is going to take a while for you to get everything right.”“Don’t start.” She said

“You think this is a good idea?” Paige asked after Justin left the office. She was looking around at the office and was beginning to think that maybe he was right, and she went a little overboard with the plants. She had to shake her head at herself and went back to helping him place things around the office. The plants did make the size of the room look smaller, though. As she placed a plant down, he would move one of the larger items like a tree or fern to the side where the windows were. In the process, he had made a small private sitting area with the trees around the small couch and two chairs. When they walked into the office, Milo looked like he had gone through the wringer. Paige stopped when she walked in, and he closed the door. She didn’t see him turn the lock on the door, either. She just looked at his face. He was still completely shocked at what had just happened.Milo only wanted one thing at the moment, and that was her next to him. He pulled her closer and found the comfort of her tiny arms around him. He didn’t have to try to hold everything in though he still was in shock. Paige walked out and looked between the two men standing there. Milo was looking at his father, and she knew he had so many questions to ask. She went to her area and took a seat as she let them talk. As the two left the hallway to go into the office, they left the door open. They knew that she would stop anyone from coming in, and they could discuss whatever with the knowledge she would keep their secrets. “I really don’t know how I should feel about this,” Milo said out of the blue as he looked at his computer later in the day. Paige was in the room, but she wasn’t working with him at the moment. She was keeping herself busy but also keeping an eye on him. He had quite the day already.“You should be happy but yet still a little leery of everything.” She said as she looked out the window. Her response was simple and straightforward.
