Different Point Of View

~Naira Audzrilla~

My eyes wandered away. Memories of two weeks ago took over my mind. I understand the reason he did everything. Right now..., I just miss the moment with him.

I know this isn't true, but the memory just comes without being able to prevent it.

"Deri. Why don't you want to fight for our relationship?"

I imagined the things that made us in a relationship. At that time he was still a friend. We met at the library..., I who are of mixed Indonesian and American descent, have special access to be more familiar with him.

At that time he easily said that he was tired of using foreign languages, he really missed the language of his birthplace.

I smiled at the thought then looked at our picture.

"Goodbye Deri. Wish you happiness. Maybe it's better if we just be friends."

Correct. Tomorrow I will fly to Indonesia to learn to take care of the family business as well as move campuses. I'm going to settle down and spend time with Grandma on Daddy's side.

My eyes stared in amazement at the surrounding environment. Today our plane landed smoothly in Indonesia. This is the first time I've come here. I can't wait to visit Raja Ampat tourist attractions.

I'm not the kind of person who likes to travel but Raja Ampat has been attracting my attention for a long time.

"Grandmother!"

I immediately rushed into the arms of the old man.

"Gosh..., where are your Daddy and Mommy?"

"They haven't come, Grandma. Daddy still has work so he came here the day after tomorrow."

I am satisfied with my mastery of my Indonesian vocabulary. Even though this is the first time I've set foot in Daddy's hometown. While in America I often used the international language, namely English.

But when I am at home I prefer to use Indonesian so I can master the language. Since I was little, I kept telling Daddy to teach me that mother tongue.

Pletak!

Grandmahit my head softly. When you are angry, my grandmother likes to hit people. I know that's because her habit has passed on to me too.

"Why don't you wait for them, Grandma is worried about you Naira."

I smiled awkwardly at my grandmother, then said sorry. Since a long time ago my grandmother called me Naira, that name was her gift. It's just that when in America people called me Dzrilla as well as Mommy and Daddy.

"Well, grandparents must be tired. Okay, let's go to home."

I smiled broadly at what Grandma said. Besides I am the only child of Mommy and Daddy, also the only granddaughter. grandmother has two sons. Daddy was the eldest while Pamlie was the last.

I should have called Pamlie as Uncle, but because I was always spoiled by him, I changed the word Uncle to Pamlie.

Pamlie's family often visited us in America, I was happy when they came because Auntie always brought me food from Indonesia. What I like best are the rendang and chicken opor dishes.

Well, I was happy with their visit but not with my two older cousins. How could I not, one likes to tease me while the other is too overprotective.

Whatever their nature, I still really love them both. I can't wait to meet them. I'm Coming Indonesia!

"Dela, Dzilla comes to Indonesia!"

I, who just parked the bike, was suddenly surprised by Hiery's words. Luckily I don't have a history of heart disease, if so I might have tumbled.

"Come to Indonesia, you mean?"

I grin softly at the slow working brain system.

"Dzilla came to Indonesia."

My brain is still working to digest Hiery's words. When I just finished working hard my brain is often tense. Moreover, the test was very draining my head. This happened because I read books too often.

"Is he here? That's great. I really want to meet him."

I said finally.

"You are serious?"

"Yes. Me and him have to talk privately."

"You talk like that as if you already know where Dzilla is."

Hiery stared at him investigating.

“Not now Hiery, but later. Come on, let's go in."

During the trip I asked Hiery how did he know that Dzilla came here. She said that since the last two days he has been keeping an eye on Dzilla's status. Hiery has always had that person's contact. The two of them only rarely communicate.

I was so strange myself hearing Hiery's narrative. Since when had he turned into a status observer? I even imagined that Hiery would become a stalker.

Again, both Hiery and I have something in common, they don't like surfing in cyberspace. I know from the first time we met we did look good.

"Em..., does the ice man know that Dzilla came to Indonesia?"

"I have no idea. Brother Deri is too busy for me to contact."

"That's right, the CEO is very busy."

We immediately entered the campus.

~Deri Cloriea~

“Dzrilla came to Indonesia. What should I do?"

I massaged the head which felt throbbing pain. Office work is piling up, after this there will also be a meeting with clients. Memories of two weeks ago came back to my mind.

"I'm sorry Ri. I don't want to disappoint my parents."

"I'm okay. I understand."

I keep seeing it. I don't know what to do, all I know is that I immediately pulled him into my arms. I never thought that our two years of relationship ended up like this.

"I Love You."

"Me too."

I could feel that he was crying and I tightened our hug even more as if I didn't want to let him go.

"Sir, the meeting starts in five minutes."

I nodded at the secretary and started to follow him.

I..., confused and hesitated what to do about this. Hopefully after this we will still be fine. I'm afraid and worried but will keep trying to defend myself who knows how long. Anyway, I will continue to survive.
