Chapter 39: A New Face

“Mommy!” Eleanor became emotionally ecstatic upon seeing her mother finally awaking from the deep sleep that she was in.

“E-Eleanor…” she whispered out of her lips as she tried to get herself up and sitting right from the bed. Her face could not be seen clearly as the while bandages covered most of her facial features including her nose.

Though Eliza had awoken and was responsive to her daughter, Eleanor could not help but feel worried about the bandages that were covering her mother’s face.

The doctor noticed the worry and confusion inside of Eleanor’s eyes and came forth with his lips curved.

“There is nothing to worry about, Eleanor. The fall that your mother was in, made a few injuries to her face but I was able to fix it all up. I’ll take the bandages off now so you can see for yourself….” The doctor said to convince Eleanor tha
