Chapter 3: Ruby's

I went to my room not really giving a damn about this Gala. 

"Honey, your clothes are laid out on your bed Marcus sent them." My mother's voice echoed through the hallways. I let a tired huff leave my mouth as I got to my room, I cleaned myself up doing the necessary things, as in shaving and washing my hair . I didn't glance at the dress as I pulled it over. I slipped on the shoes and stood in front of the mirror wanting to surprise myself. To say I looked beautiful would be an understatement. The dress hugged my curves perfectly, the V- line showing not too much but also not too little flesh. The straps weren't too thick and the parting on the dress looked perfect. My heels are ballet like  heels that the strings go up to your leg. 

In short, I looked flawless. I heard a manly voice with a slight British accent singing and rapping around the house. One voice I knew all too well.

"Marcus." I shouted out and burst out of my dressing room just to see him setting up make-up on my dressing table. 

"Oh darling you look ravishing , I have seen many beautiful Girls but, I must say you truly are the most Magnificent out of the all. Now sit down I ain't got the whole day I still gotta meet up with Elliot."

I rushed and sat down. He began to work his magic on my face. Meanwhile, I put my Make-up playlist making sure it boomed around the room. Marcus has always been there for me, he has been our family designer for the past 10 years he is around 35 married to his wonderful husband Elliot. I love Elliot he's like an elder brother to me him being just 30 years old. Although we do not see each other too much due to him traveling a lot. My mind went back to the Gala I started to wonder if there's gonna be some Food, oh what about donuts, damn my mom would kill me so much to new year new me and new diet. And Da-.

"Honey look into the mirror." 

I obeyed as I looked at the mirror a slight gasp leaving my mouth. 

I looked awesome my make-up wasn't too much also wasn't too less just perfect. He dropped his hands from my shoulders, sqauted close to me and pulled out a box. He opened it slightly and I awed at it. It was a necklace that had a Ruby heart on it. 

"Did my mom buy that for me?" 

"No honey, I bought it for you. Actually, Elliot and I bought it for you." 

"Huh? Why? I mean I'm not complaining cause I love it but like. I ...can't....... I..... can't accept this....... Yeah I can't."

"Oh shut up, okay just think of it as a pre-birthday gift. 

"My birthday is about 4 months away." I deadpanned him. He looked at me with that look like 'Let's see'. He got up from his squat. As he began to walk out he spoke.

"Too bad, Might as well then give it to Celine." I leaped out of my chair and ran towards him.

"Nooooo. I will take it." He smirked and turned towards me. 

"Oh, I can't believe you actually thought I was gonna give it to Celine ughhh that b*tch." 

Celine was the other family Marcus worked for, their daughter is a bish though,  and Celine always mocked him about being gay so .......since then both of us h-dislike her a lot. He clipped the necklace around my neck and we exited my room. My ravishing dress sweeping my not so clean room floor.
Oh well......
