Chapter 8: Hello Ava

Chapter 8

We arrived at the park in a hassle, he let me off and got off himself. We stayed silent for a while until I decided it was getting too awkward.

"When do you want to meet up and where?" He seemed confused about what I was saying so I elaborated on my sentence.

"For the Project."

"At your house-"

"NO, I mean we don't really have a big house it would be too messy with my two younger siblings in the house so you have to think of something else entirely."

"At my house then."

"Umm okay, how about the time?"

" Tomorrow afternoon?"

"Sure"

He left me there and went his way on his bike, his figure shrinking, getting smaller with every mile he drove.

I strode towards the park's florist.

"Jenny long time no see." A smile took over my face as I saw Aunt May preparing a bouquet of Bingdi Lotus my sister's favorite. My pre-ordered flowers were looking extremely fresh brightening my mood.

"Aunt May, how are you doing now? How is your Knee? "

"Oh it is fine honey, thank you for the medicine. Send my regards to your mother and my dearest Ava."

I laid a ten-dollar bill on the counter taking the ready bouquet into my hand while caressing the leaves.  Ordering a cab I took a stroll to the exit of the park on the other side of the street, spotting the Cab I entered into the backseat smiling at the old man who would be driving me.

"Where to young lady."

"St. Olivers Cemetery, please."

"Sure."

The drive to the cemetery was spent talking to the Driver who was as friendly as posture. He kept our small talk going sometimes bringing his 12 years old daughter into the conversation. Apparently, his wife gave birth to her daughter at the age of 48 after being barren for 48 years, he kept complimenting his wife about her strength while having a broad and bright smile on his face. Unconsciously I was smiling as well while listening to all the things about his family. Soon he parked in front of the cemetery, I paid and waved goodbye not forgetting to rate him five stars online. The walk to my sister's tombstone was not long, her tombstone stood out. I knelt taking off the old flowers from the grave and placing new ones on them. A copy of my Teenage face was mirroring me in the tombstone, trying not to creep by the picture  I just smiled at it.

"Hey Ava, how have you been? It's been two weeks. Do you know what I found at home? Our purple box. The very first pair of shoes we ever wore. Mine is a pair of very bright pink while yours are extremely dull, do you also think that Mom might have been blind while picking those shoes? But do you know? I think they are the most beautiful matching shoes I have ever seen in my life, do you know who I saw today? I saw Sebastian. He asked me to forgive him, but how can I? He couldn't protect you when it was all a trap. Ava let me show you a song, I found it while scrolling through Youtube. Here listen to it. "

I am the runner

You are the chaser

My twin in flames

'Til we meet again I am the lost

You can't be found

My twin in flames

Lift me from the ground you are the hider

I am the seeker

My twin, I'm in flames

I'm rolling about have a name

You call me by none

My twin, I'm on fire

Come put me out God is my witness

I try to be strong

But my twin, I'm on fire

Don't string me alongWake you from slumber

You fall so hard

Twin, we're in flames

We've gone too far pockets are empty

Your heart is stripped bare

My twin in flames

We're not even there can't see

Past the border or smoke

My twin, inflamed

Who I'm sorry I wokeThe circle continues

As plain as can be

My love, let me go

I should let you be you are the runner

I am the chaser

My twin in flames

'Till we meet again.

The song ended as I kept a slight smile on my face imagining her looking down on me from heaven.

"Ava I have to go now it is getting late but I will surely see you in a few days. See you, my lovely sister." I  took a step away from her tomb. I hailed a cab at the small intersection ahead, my mind still singing the song. The cab was parked in front when I opened the door meeting face to face with a man in his early twenties looking pretty decent but don't judge a book by its cover. He looked extremely familiar too.

"Where to?" The driver was looking at me expectedly.

"Sorry, I don't want a shared ride."

"It won't make a difference." He was getting annoyed which made me want to give a blow across his face.

" I said I won't be going." I slammed the door and was about to leave when the door to the Taxi flew open again. The young man stepped out of the car looking at me expectantly.

"If you really want I can wait it isn't good for a teenager to be walking around in the middle of the night. I can just walk home from here."

I just smiled at him, while he passed by me, I looked at his retreating figure my eyes zoning on a Tatoo on his Neck that wasn't so visible, while his hair covered half of his Neck. Yet I still caught on to the tail of a snake that stood out under his hair.

A feeling was pressuring me, something wasn't sitting right with that tattoo. It feels like the Tatoo and that man should be sending a message to me. I was looking at the moment of my friends on Instagram the man still at the back of my mind, Queen's moment popped up on my screen her family was probably at a dinner Party of her Fathers again.

In her, I saw Jason talking with a bunch of girls smiling at all of them with the sparkles of lust in his eyes. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

After this Project, I must keep away from him, he is dangerous to dangerous, he knows and I know that he definitely knows something, after all not everyone can know Sebastian and just address him by it.

The ride home was spent with me mentally bashing Jason insulting him and his entire Legacy.

There was a van parked outside our mansion and a bunch of guys taking out some bags a smile suddenly taking over my face as the taxi parked in front of our gate putting my fingers on the lock running to my father who was standing talking to his helpers. I jumped in the air taking Dadknocking all air out of his lungs. His light-hearted laugh made me feel like a Queen. He piggybacked me into the living room throwing me across the couch.

My Dad gave me the details of his trip and how many businessmen introduced their sons to him so the old men could put us in a Contract relationship. I burst out laughing enjoying my father's company the feeling of being filled with everlasting happiness.
