The voice that returned words was low and full of longing. “True mates.”
I was frozen in place, unable to move.
“Ethan? What are you doing here?”

I turned from Ethan to Justin. Ethan was barely inside the room’s doorway. There’s no way they would have had a chance to talk--no time for Justin to out me for who I was.
“What are you doing here?”

“What?”
