Chapter 16
She looked weird. She looked really weird to Ashley.
"Hi" The girl waved, a sweet smile curled on her lips.
Hesitating a bit, Ashley waved back at her. She had never seen this girl before since she got to Lac international school.
"You seem lost. Are you going to the field?" Asked the girl in a sweet manner and Ashley couldn't help but think that her voice sounded angelic. She nodded her head in affirmation.
"You're on the wrong path. The field is this way" the girl gestured to the right.
"Oh" Ashley mouthed. She had indeed taken a wrong turn. As Ashley made to leave, The girl's voice stopped her.
"I'm heading to the field too, I can lead you there" the girl offered. Ashley looked at her with doubts in her eyes.
"Alright. Lead the way" Ashley said reluctantly.

As Ashley made her way to the school premises in the dark, it was awfully silent. The crescent moon hid between the clouds. The air was chilly, Ashley could feel goose bumps on her skin.She regretted not putting on her hoodie but she had gone too far to turn back. She didn't know exactly where she was supposed to meet Elizabeth.She was now in the hallway and it was darker than ever. She wondered why the lights were not on. She brought out her phone from her bag so that she could at least use the flashlight on her phone to see but something made her stop.The sound of approaching footsteps made her freeze on the spot. Everywhere was sparkling white. The silver decorations around the enormous white building glittered in the sun. It was strange, nothing except a white enormous building was in sight."Where in the world is this place?" "Do you know that Mr Briggs will put us in groups today?" "And where do you think you're going?" A voice said behind them and they turned. It was Charles and some other guys. There was this dangerous aura around him as he fixed his eyes on the trio. "You have to watch out for the demons. They'll be after you now that your identity has been revealed and they'll try to kill more humans than before to bring back the war beast as soon as possible..." Priestess Luciana's words rang a bell in Ashley's ears. Moving a step forward, she said, "What now? What do you want huh?". A smirk appeared on her lips as she questioned the confident looking Charles. Charles squinted his eyes. Already, his blood was boiling and the only thing he wanted to do at the moment was to wipe them away from the surface of the earth.
