A couple of hours later after we had suffered a very awkward dinner together, Danny told Jack to go and play on the Xbox before bed. I took this as a cue that he wanted to speak with me.

*Sophia’s POV*The first thing I felt was heavy. And then sickness. My breathing was slow and shallow. I tried to figure why I was feeling this way. Was I unwell? *Sophia’s POV*“Its…you…” I stared at him, not really believing my own eyes. And yet, I knew him. He was the man I had bumped into weeks ago. The man with the eyes that so utterly mesmerised me. He stood now before me, letting me take in his form. He looked slightly more causal than last time, although he was still wearing a perfectly ironed shirt and a pair of smart grey trousers. Without his jacket on and his sleeves rolled up to his elbow, I could tell just how muscular he was. He was still as beautiful as the last time I had seen him, but he seemed to look more tired than before. His eyes were a little dimmer, and the stubble around his face was more pronounced. *Sophia’s POV*There was no way I could stay here any longer. Thale was starting to get into my head. After his insane declaration in the gardens, I had fled straight back to my room. I started to wonder if he had some sort of magic that was bewitching me. Why hadn’t I asked Danny more questions about dragons? I would not dwell on what he had said. I refused to let him twist my thoughts. I just needed to get out of here. I had laughed ironically to myself. His stalking and kidnapping behaviour didn’t seem to fit with how much sympathy he’d shown me when I told him about my parents. I also wondered what proof he intended to present to me.
