Chapter fourthy

Mia

When I flicked my eyes opened hours later, I didn't see Alex. It was already morning and it felt like all that just happened was a dream. Like Alex appeared in my dream. But I was fully aware that it wasn't. Alex really came. He was informed about my condition and came back to Gavelston to check up on me at the hospital. Abandoning what ever he was occupied with, in Nigeria.

Something which added a stamp to the fact that, I was still quite important to him. That he didn't completely hate me, despite everything I had put him through.

I sat up right, and saw that I was still on drip. A much bigger one this time. With the pains less severe than it was when I had first woken up.

I stared at the door longingly, wondering if Alex had gone or he was still around. Because I wanted to see him again. Earlier when I saw him, I couldn't stay awake that much to talk to him. We still had a lot of talking to do.
