Chapter Seventeen: Blank Canvas

I cautiously make my way near Jason carrying a small dagger behind my back. If what he says is true then it's useless because he can read my mind unless... he can't. I need to know for sure if he's telling the truth.
Jason offered me a sit and I sat down being wary of my surroundings, I say, "You're unusually alone considering that it's late this night. Where are the others?"
"Look outside. It's a full moon. Full moons are when the creatures are at its peak potential therefore, we as hunters await this night to strike down as many creatures as we can."
I can see that awful blood lust in Jason's eyes as he said that. I confronted, "What about me? Why aren't you trying to kill me?"
"Kill you? Lyanna, all of this is for you. We live and die for Raya and her reincarnation, you." Jason

I fixed my bed and headed to the kitchen expecting to see JD for some reason but what I found there was a lean back and broad shoulders with that platinum blonde hair falling into place.It was Arthur.He looked back at me with those dazzling purple eyes and said casually, "Oh, you're up early.
