Chapter 49: Jax - Telling Nick the news
When I got back to the house, Leah was in the kitchens cooking by the looks of it and Cassie was setting the table.
I walked over and gave her a kiss before turning to Leah. “I didn’t know you could cook.”
She gave me a smile. “I was worried you’d stop feeding me if you knew. Besides, I only cook on special occasions.”
Me and Cassie sat down on the table as Leah came over with the food. We ate in silence for a while, enjoy the rich flavours of the casserole Leah had made.
“So, how did Nick take the news?” Leah asked.
I swallowed my food before meeting her gaze. “I haven’t told him yet.”
