WEDDING part 2

CHAPTER 1 WEDDING

“Da- Alpha Lester” Lester smiled at her and reluctantly held her by the hand.

“Congratulations, I wish you happiness and tranquility in your marriage.” Even though Zane knew that this man was not her biological parent, she still felt the urge to cry seeing him like this. So lost, aged, and tired.

She took the initiative to hug him and teared up. If it wasn’t for this man raising her, then where could she be right now.

“Thank you, Daddy, I may no longer have the right to call you my father, but I am thankful, so happy that you have been a part of my life and my growth. We may have ended things unfairly before, but I know you did that for my own good.” she could feel the man’s embrace tightening the moment she started to talk.

Truthfully speaking, without him as her father for 21 years, then she probably became an unruly child with unspeakable character. Even when he is a strict father, he still taught her to stick to her principles and believe in herself, he doted on her and gave her all the best things in life. He became both the mother and father that she needed.

He must be feeling lonely now, to say that his daughter that he groomed well was not his, and the betrayal he must have felt after knowing that after all these years, his wife and his real daughter did not even tell him the truth, completely fooling him, was disappointing itself.

“No, thank you, thank you for being such a kind and beautiful daughter any father could ask for, we may not be related by blood, but I will always think of you as my daughter. You may act disobediently at times, but I know you are a kind and strong woman, you know what to do and believe in what is right. Don’t lose hope, you will eventually find out who you really are.”

They conversed for a long time, Zane asked him what his plans were and the man only answered that he may need time to rebuild and change the things at the pack, but overall, he was happy that the truth has come to light. The man said that he would rather be hurt by the truth than be happy with the lies and Zane could never agree more than that.

“Babe, it’s time for a toast,” Nicholas whispered in her ears while his arms snaked around her waist, even when they have been doing things like these for a long time now, it still never failed to make her heart flutter every time the man expresses his love with little actions like these.

“Hmm oh yeah, Daddy, if you excuse us.” Lester gave her a reassuring smile before he nodded his head.

Nicholas glanced at the man and lightly nodded in his direction before helping his wife up to the elevated space that was prepared for them. Their wedding is a simple one held in his very own mansion, it was rushed but still beautiful. He wanted to tie her to himself as fast as possible and that was also why most of his family members knew nothing about this marriage.

If possible, Nicholas did not want them to come, they will only be a bother for him. All they ever did was demand things and he was unwilling to let Zane feel anxious that his family members were around. At most, the only ones that he would bother inviting were his grandfather and his uncle’s family.

Meeting them can wait, besides, he would still hold a much grander and beautiful wedding abroad, and at that time, everything would be perfect. For now, this would do. His wife deserves the greatest things in life and even if she demands a wedding daily, he can give it to her, but knowing Zane, anything would do for her.

So Nicholas can only agree on this sudden and quite simple wedding, and the next one would be the best wedding that would make anyone die with envy.

“Let us all have a toast, raise our glass, and wish this beautiful couple a happy marriage. Cheers!” the host announced before the hall was filled with the sound of glassware clinking then followed by the thunderous claps.

People busied themselves socializing and enjoyed the wedding reception. Even though it was a sudden marriage, everything was prepared carefully and perfectly. All kinds of dishes were prepared on the table. Either it was a first-class cuisine or something simple, it was all laid beautifully and elegantly on the long table that was adorned with meticulously folded and designed cloth.
