~1~Getting to know Sharon~

Sharon

I was sitting on the long bench in the practice room, whilst peering blankly at the sky before getting interrupted by the creaking sound from the door.

"The director is here and you're still sitting down" Min Ju, the idiot girl from Korea howled at me, I flashed at her and she stares away immediately.

"You're all dismissed" The lady wearing a flayed trouser and a white shirt declared openly leaving everyone to wonder.

"For what?"

"I thought we came here for practice"

"I came here leaving behind important things to do"

Grumbles and muttering crammed the whole practice room and I just clasp my hands over my tummy waiting for the right moment to meddle.

"If you don't want to get dismissed, you might as well stay here forever" she sizzled and walked out, I winced when she slammed the door so hard.

"Eyy, are you okay?" Iris asked, staring at me with so much readiness.

"I look more okay than you, just cut to the chase" I gave her the best reply that came to my head at the moment, she looks irritated already.

I don't know why they'll not stop finding troubles for themselves, they know I'm not easy to go by, yet they still try my patience.

"You didn't talk back to the director today, why?" I almost let out a loud chuckle at her idiotic statement but I held it in.

"Come closer" I muttered and she did.

"I wanted to give rookies like you the chance to step up" I cackled and rubbed my mouth.

Her scowl was evil but I'm a devil, thankfully I didn't bring my bag today. It'll have been hell work to go back and take it.

I hurried outside since we were told to go home but others were still chit-chatting on useless matters, I gradually close the door so as not to make a noise and eventually whirled to leave.

"Oh my God!" I flinch at the touch of someone's hand on my shoulder.

"Are you okay?" Jason asks, glancing Into my eyes.

"Oh yeah, I'm okay" I was too taken by his sudden appearance that I find it hard to finish my sentence.

"Why are you here?" I felt like whacking myself for such a dumb question, he's a ballerina-like me and his mom is the art director so what do I expect?

"I came by to drop lunch for my mom, but I needed to talk to you," he says huskily and I waddled towards the hallway.

He'll follow up, that place is too insane to have a conversation. The people at Fantasia will take it the wrong way.

"Okay, what do you have to tell me?" I'm not being too eager, am I?

"My birthday is on Sunday and…" I cut in abruptly, not because I wanted to but I thought he wanted to declare something more crucial.

"Oh wow, Happy Birthday in Advance" I giggled and quelled, glimpsing the changeless expression on his face.

"I'm not done Sharon" he sneered making me stare at him weirdly.

"I would love to invite you to my birthday party, don't worry my mom won't be there" good that he knows that the relationship between me and his mom is just so.

Puzzling

"I will be present, just send me the address and of course the dress code" I grinned and got up from the chair the minute It dawned on me that I was going to meet someone.

"I have your number, I'll do so. thanks" he whispered and patted my hair before walking away.

What was that? Do I look like a baby?

An introduction should have come first but as you can see, I'm one hell of a talkative and crazy human being. I'm a 21-year-old orphan, but I have an adoptive mother and brother who showed me, love, more than I deserve.

I don't know about my biological parents but my adoptive mom keeps saying, very soon.

I'm a second-class ballerina at the biggest ballerina studio called Fantasia, my trainee program will end soon, about 8 months to go I think.

I don't make friends but I have a very close friend and a lot of enemies because we're just not compatible, I rather insult them or leave them.

I scooted to the front of the agency, hoping to see a taxi the moment I got outside but to my amazement. Luck wasn't on my side today.

After waiting for an hour, a taxi stopped in front of me. I bend over to hop in but then I trudged back to have a clear view of the car.

"You going or not?" The driver half yells.

"Or not" I replied hastily but yet to leave.

"What did you say?" He asks, fluttering his eyes.

"I'm not going!" it was my turn to yell, he zoomed off after a minute of an eye-rolling clash between us.

"Hey, Sh.." I knew it was the foolish hero the moment I heard him.

"Sharon. S.H.A.R.O.N!" I yelled out so loudly as I scuttled to where his car was parked.

"Get in" I won't take it as an order, I don't have it in mind to waste another second so I should allow the foolish hero to drop me.

His real name is Matthew but I give him the nickname because of the way he acts, I'm sure it's a habit and he'll try it today.

"Shalom," I took a deep breath at this dumbass.

"POC, I'm Sharon, not Shalom" I rectified, frowning at him with so much anger in me.

"What's POC?" His driver was the first to burst into laughter, I don't want to be an outcast so I joined him.

"You don't know what POC means?" I raised my brows trying to act serious.

"I don't care to tell me?" He winks childishly, all I did was shook my head.

"Point of Correction" I announced.

"Stop the car" he ordered and the driver stepped on the brake pads.

"I should get out?" I ask, wearing a stunned expression.

"Yes, it was a nice ride" he smiled teasingly, see what I said about being a foolish hero.

He helps you in a situation and makes himself look like a hero but then he withdrew his help and the only name I could give him was the foolish hero.

"Take care pretty" he beamed and his car drove past me.

"Pretty my foot! Who wouldn't be pretty in a Playboy's face" I groan and stamp my foot on the floor, it took a little while to realize that all eyes were on me.

I was happy because the bus station was a few steps from where I was, I run to it and the bus going to my destination dropped off passengers.

It was hectic as there were a lot of people struggling to get in, I can't be left out.

I was disappointed when I finally get to enter and there was no vacant seat, I wanted to leave because I'm too tired to stand for 30 minutes.

"This is the last bus for today" my eyes widen in shock as I hurriedly paid and grabbed a pole.

I can't believe I slept off while standing, the ringing sound from my phone woke me up and I picked up without checking who it was.

"Who's this?" I ask grumpily whilst rubbing my face.

"Don't bother coming okay" I snapped out of my trance on hearing Daniella's voice.

"Calm down babe, I'm a few minutes from getting close to you" I giggled loudly and saw people staring.

I gripped my hands around my waist as I alighted from the bus, this place gives a special vibe and I always love it when we come here.

I earn my income in four different ways, weekly allowance from my mom who runs a restaurant, not the biggest restaurant but a very successful restaurant.

Daily allowance from my brother, he's a bank manager and I'm starting to fear if he would continue to give me once he gets married. His wedding is about two weeks ahead.

I also earn money by advertising at my friend's company, it doesn't comes every time but it's always huge whenever it comes.

Lastly from the Studio, as a second-class ballerina, I get paid monthly but depends on what competition or show we went to.

"Sharon!!!" I dip my middle fingers to clean my ear because her yelling almost ruined my earbuds.

"I'm here now, can we get to work?" I smiled sheepishly trying to change the topic.

"Here," she throws a kitty head at me.

"What's this?" I ask, feeling clueless about the whole thing.

"It's our costume for today, you have to wear it, no objection" she countered.

"What nonsense costume, where's that crazy-ass manager?" I half yelled.

"Stop it Sharon" she cautioned whilst dragging my arm.

"Stop what, I see why he's so short and always wears a frowning face. It's because he doesn't have any good character, how can he make us wear this when he can't?" I taunted forgetting that I'm in front of the company.

"Sh.." she grabbed my hand, winking at me to stop talking.

"Leave me alone, I'll have it out with that man.." I swirl around to see him...
