Valerie Hernandez
"What the- why are you taking me to an empty track?"
"To test drive your car obviously." He said in a matter of fact. I frown from the passenger seat. "But we have been driving this car since this morning and the car looks fine. I think it is not necessary to do what you have in mind."
"Oh, come on… just try it. It will be fun." Staring at him as I narrow my eyes, I shook my head. "No thanks. I don’t want to."
"Please, it will be fun. You gotta live a little."
"I’m still not sure if the car is hundred percent decent to drive in a high speed."
"Your car will be fine. Want me to show you?" before I even got the chance to speak, Tyler step on the gas and the car lurched forward. I hold on to the car handle as if my life depend on it. Tyler drive the car like he is on a race. I peek through the speed meter and saw him almost driving past 100 miles per hour.
This man is crazy!

Valerie HernandezLast Saturday was an interesting day for me.Waking up at Tyler’s house with me cuddling him, he persuaded me to take my car for a ride and he ended up brought me to an empty track to test the car, the spiders that show up out of nowhere causing me too jumped to his lap and lastly the almost kissing moment we had until Ryan decided to show up and tease us mainly me.I remembered vividly how red my face was when Ryan caught us. It was so embarrassing compared to the part where I jumped onto Tyler lap because of a freaking spider! I mean that part was embarrassing too. I can’t believe last Saturday I embarrassed myself not once or twice but thrice. What was wrong with me? Did I hit my head or something?Least to say I did have a great time despite what had happened. Tyler was a great company and a really good friend. Funny enough the thought of Liam my boyfriend didn’t crossed my mind until I got h
Valerie Hernandez "Yes." I thought I have trouble hearing and need to clean my ear to get a better hearing. But I know I don’t have any trouble with my ear. I just don’t want to believe this is true. Before she answer me, I was hoping for Julia to prove Bianca and I wrong so I will never ever believe in a word she said, and I could put Bianca in her place so she can never mess with me or us ever again however she said yes. My hope is crush and I have to face reality that Julia did kiss Liam, my boyfriend. I show her the picture right in front of her face. Her eyes widen as if she didn’t believe someone caught them lip locking. "W-where did y-you-?" "So, it’s true. You did kissed him." I said feeling hurt. The once silent cafeteria turn loud with students whispering among themselves. They didn’t expect Julia, the calm, smart and quiet person will do this to me. Even I her best friend can’t believe it too. "I can’t believe you Julia. I thought you are my friends." I said feeling h
Valerie Hernandez As soon as I stepped in the school hallways, all eyes on me and they starting to whisper among each other. One thing that I wish to do right now is to go back to my room, snuggle up to my blanket and plugged my ear to hear a sad song with a high volume. But instead, I’m here at school. After what happened yesterday, I don’t really feel going to school. I was thinking to ditch school the next day but then I remember I have an exam and no way I’m going to miss that. Ignoring the stares, I quickly made my way to my locker to put my books away. As I shut the locker, a familiar face leaning on the locker crossing her arms over her chest. "I’m surprise you came to school since you’ve been ignoring my calls and text." "You’re not the only one I ignored." Carmen stared at me looking displeased. I sighed and leaned on my locker. "I’m sorry, Julia and Liam have been calling me nonstop, so I shut my phone off." "It’s okay. How are you anyway?" "It’s a lie if I say I’m o
Our next class is pretty much the same. The teacher gave us a lecture then continue with the assignment which I’m glad though cause I’m not in the mood to pay attention. My mind hover around the conversation I had with Tyler. I mean he has a point. I can’t keep ignoring Julia forever. After all she is my best friend, and we know each other for a long time. As the class ended, I felt a rush of relief wash over me. I quickly gathered my things, eager to leave before anyone could stop me. But just as I was about to make my escape, I saw him – Liam, my ex-boyfriend, standing right in front of me, blocking my path. My heart sank as I met his pleading gaze. I could see the desperation in his eyes, but I couldn't bring myself to listen to whatever explanation he had to offer. Not now, not when the pain of our recent breakup was still so raw. "Valerie, please," he begged, his voice cracking with emotion. "Just hear me out. I need to explain." I shook my head, my jaw clenched tightly. I did
I watched as Tyler's hands balled up into fists, a clear indication of his growing tension. The unknown guy approached us with a grin plastered across his face, but Tyler's glare could have frozen molten lava. However, just as quickly as the hostility emerged, it dissolved into a mocking smirk on Tyler's lips."Ah... Ricky, is it?" Tyler's voice dripped with sarcasm as he addressed the newcomer. "The guy who can only bitch and moan?"My eyes widened in surprise at Tyler's boldness. I stole a quick glance at Ricky, and my shock only deepened. His appearance was striking, to say the least. His body was adorned with tattoos. His hair, a vibrant shade of red, stood up in spiky tufts, and his ears were adorned with numerous piercings. There was nothing much distinctive about the two friends behind him. They screamed danger and must be avoid.Ricky's response was immediate and forceful. He slammed his hand down on the table with a resounding thud, his expression morphing into one of irritat
I paced restlessly around my room, the weight of anticipation settling heavily on my shoulders. Through the window, I could see the faint glow of lights illuminated from Tyler's room. It seemed he was still awake, just as I suspected. With a deep breath, I glanced down at my outfit, making sure everything was in place. I had come prepared, dressed in jeans, a white tank top, and a denim jacket, paired with sturdy black boots.I sat on the edge of my bed, anxiously checking the time every few minutes. Fifteen agonizing minutes passed before the lights in Tyler's room finally flickered off. It was my cue to make my move. With careful precision, I tiptoed down the stairs, doing my best to avoid any creaks that might wake my parents. As I reached the front door, I hesitated for a moment, my heart pounding in my chest. But I couldn't let fear hold me back now. Steeling myself, I pushed open the door and stepped out into the cool night air.I made my way swiftly to Tyler's house, my footste
Valerie HernandezAs the race was set and the crowd erupted in excitement, I felt a knot of anxiety tighten in my chest. The stakes had never been higher, and the thought of me being used as a bet in Ricky's twisted game made my blood boil. What I did not expect was Tyler agreeing to it.Before the race could start, I grabbed Tyler's arm and pulled him aside, my voice filled with frustration. "Why did you agree to bet me, Tyler?" I demanded, my tone sharp with accusation.Tyler sighed heavily, his expression pained as he met my gaze. "It's the only way, Val," he explained, his voice tinged with regret. "If I don't agree, Ricky will take my car and besides, it's the rules."I shook my head in disbelief, unable to comprehend how Tyler could have made such a reckless decision. "I can't believe you would risk everything like this," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. But before I could say more, Jae and Ryan approached us, their expressions tense with anticipation. "Tyler, the ra
Tyler WilliamsI watched as Valerie walked away, her back stiff with anger. Winning the race had been exhilarating, but the argument with Valerie had left a bitter taste in my mouth. I knew that my actions hadn't portrayed me as a winner, not in her eyes at least.Valerie had made a good point earlier. What if I hadn't won? What would have happened to her? It wasn't like I had wanted to bet on her in the first place, but illegal street races were rough, and you had to follow the rules, no matter how unfair they seemed.I knew that I had messed up."You okay man?" Ryan asked as he saw Valerie leaving. I shrugged my shoulders, letting out a heavy sigh. "Not great," I admitted, running a hand through my hair. "Valerie has every right to be mad at me."Ryan nodded in understanding; his expression somber. "Yeah, anyone would feel the same way if they were in her shoes," he agreed, his tone sympathetic.Trevor chimed in, his voice firm but gentle. "You need to apologize to her, Tyler," he s
