Job hunting

Aria feared it would be awkward to stay with her stepbrother after that night a month ago. But if he is as rude to her as he is just now, I should most definitely concentrate on not killing him.

Aria looked at the disappearing figure of her stepbrother.

She went inside and to her room. She opened her phone and downloaded that day's newspaper in Chrome.

After that, she looked at the vacancy column and noted down a couple of openings in that town.

She took her small money purse along with her phone before going for job hunting.

First, she decided to go and check the local supermarket, where they need a sales assistant.

She asked the guy near the billing counter about the vacancy.

"No, sorry. Boss hired a girl just this morning" the guy said apologetically.

"Oh, ok thank you" she turned away with disappointment.

Next, she saw an opening in the nearby gym as a front desk assistant.

When she entered through the glass doors, she already saw two people near the front desk.

They looked up from what they were doing to look at her.

"Yes?" One of them asked.

"Hi, I saw an ad saying that you have a job opening here," Aria said straight coming to the point.

"Oh, we are sorry. We already hired" one of the two women replied politely.

"Ok, thank you" Aria turned away from there as well.

There is only one place left to check. If they say the same thing as the last two, then she is screwed, Aria thought worriedly.

I have a place to stay for now. She doesn't know when her father would be back. He didn't even return her calls yet. Going by the attitude change Aiden, it's wise to move away as fast as she could. 

If only I could find a job, she thought.

The last place which she saw in the paper today is a local restaurant. They need a waiter to wait tables. 

Aria has some experience in waiting tables. Back home, when she needed money to pay their bills, she worked as a waitress for a couple of months.

She saw the name of the restaurant from she stood right in front of it.

"Chilli and pepper" she read out loud.

'Here goes nothing' she thought and walked inside, thought the glass door attached to a glass wall.

This restaurant is situated right on the edge of the beach. The diners can enjoy the ocean view while dining.

Aria noticed a middle-aged lady standing at the entrance. She is wearing a black skirt paired with a red shirt and black blazer.

"Hello" Aria greeted the lady, who must be in her early 30's. She looking mature and sophisticated.

The lady looked at Aria and smiled politely.

"Hello, what can I help you with today?" the lady asked politely, with a small smile.

"I saw that you have an opening for a waitress position. So I came to apply for that" Aria said hesitantly, fearing the rejection.

The lady looked up and down slowly at Aria.

"Are you really here for a waitress job?" the lady asked in surprise.

"Yes," Aria confirmed.

"Do you have experience in witnessing?" the lady asked Aria.

"Yes," Aria said.

The lady clapped her hands ones in excitement.

"Well hello there. Come, come. Follow me" the lady asked Aria to follow behind her.

She walked inside a door,  with an 'Entry for only staff' sigh.

Aria followed the lady and looked at the restaurant kitchen area, where everyone seems to be busy with something.

But the lady didn't stop there, through the kitchen, she led Aria through another door, which leads to a narrow hallway with two doors.

'Male staff and female staff' were written on each door.

She led Aria through the female staff door and the door softly closed after Aria.

The room has lockers with names written on it on the right side and what looks like a bathroom on the far corner.

The lady brought a waitress uniform from somewhere in the back.

"Here, wear this. We need staff as this is the season where tourists visit this town more. This should be your size. Wear this and come out" the lady instructed Aria.

The uniform is nothing but a white shirt with a tight skirt, that reaches above her knees with an apron to be tied around her waist.

When Aria is done, she neatly folded her dress and placed it inside a locker which she found empty.

"Good to go," she thought out loud.

Aria walked outside and is greeted by the lady who took her into the staff room.

"Hello dear, my name is Merlin, I am the hostess here. I am your direct boss. We need waitresses in the restaurant badly. You go on and get to work. I will finish the paperwork in the evening" she told Aria hurriedly.

Aria nodded her head and started her work. 

The restaurant was a little for the first one hour after she started working, then it picked up with the lunch hour rush, she didn't get to stop and relax for a second until 4 in the evening.

She noticed two other girls working along with her. And they too were tired after the lunch hour rush.

They all sat and relaxed while eating their late lunch, which is free for the employees.

"I am Lily and this is Bethy" one of the girls introduced.

"I am Aria" she introduced herself.

Lily is short and pale-looking. Her bluish-green eyes are the best features of that girl. It's not like she is not beautiful as a whole, 

Blond hair, pink lips, hourglass figure and she is 5.4.

Bethy has tan skin, brown eyes, jet black hair, a curvy body, and 5.8 height.

Lily looks sweet and Bethy looks hot.

"Are you new to the town, where are you from?" Lily asked curiously.

"Ya, in came last night. I am from Texas" Aria replied.
