They settled against each other bare skin wrapped in his large blanket. The movie still going until she could her the familiar thrum of a guitar. The words were barely detectable but Emma Jean didn’t need the words to know exactly what song was being played at that moment. She pulled the blanket closer around herself feeling the sadness building up. Kieran could feel the way her body was going stiff against his chest. He strained his ears to hear what could be causing it when the movie was just about over.
He picked up on the soft words she sang along to the music. He knew then that she wasn’t alright.
“Wake me up, Say enough is enough, I'm dying to live. Something's gotta give, Pull me out of this sinking town. I'm dying to live, Something's gotta give.”
He pulled her closer into him hoping to let his body heat seep into her skin. There were no words he could say at that moment. He knew she needed to get it out of her system. This was the song she and Dallas
Emma Jean turned her head to the side, trying to avoid his gaze. It wasn’t fair to him that she was using him this way but, any pain was better than the pain she was feeling deep within her soul. She could tell even through his fumbling that he was treating her like she was precious. The idea that he wanted to be gentle with her didn’t cross her mind. She assumed it was because he was concerned about what to do with a woman’s body and worried how this will affect their friendship. She spread her legs thinking he needed the help. Kieran had kissed down to the top of her panties, with her legs spread he kiss her inner thigh. He felt her shudder under his lips. His finger poked at her nub. Her back arched at the contact. His face buried against her mound. Inhaling her essence, he kissed her southern lips through the satin material. Emma Jean felt herself wetting her panties. Whether it was her natural juices or his saliva it made it feel better. “Are you sure?”
Kieran laid on the floor with his hand over his forehead panting. He smiled knowing after several years of being by her side he was able to show her just how much he cared for her. Kieran soon drifted off to sleep with the same smile plastered on his face.Emma Jean woke up just after noon. Sitting up to stretch in her bed, she felt her body creaking from the night she had previously. “I am not as young as I used to be. That made no sense to drink and dance or even do that with Kieran. Oh God I had sex with Kieran!!!” She covered her face with both her hands trying to hold back the scream she wanted to release. They actually did it and he was terrible. How can she tell him that? She shook her head trying to shake off the memory. Her thoughts were running a mile a minute. Pretend she didn’t remember. That was the only way to save their friendship and to not hurt his feelings. She did wonder how he could be so bad at sex? All of the amazing drunken sex sto
Emma Jean dressed in black skin jeans and a billowy white top. She grabbed her leather jacket from her closet. Normally she would try to attempt to be more adult like and responsibly dressed. It was truly a shock she could still fit into these jeans after a couple years. They truly were made well.Heading downstairs she seen that the car was turned in and waiting for her. Her driver got out to open the door for her. Kieran must have told him she would be going to see her mother. It took her about an hour and a half to clean and get ready. Maybe he didn’t turn the car on until he heard her close the door. Either way with the way her head and body felt she was grateful for the car.The driver gave a slight bow before helping her inside. The cool leather seats felt good against the fabric pressing into her skin. She closed her eyes to enjoy the ride. “Do you know where we’re going?”“Yes, ma’am. I familiarized myself with all of your regular destinations.”“Impr
The two women left the opulent home. Instead, of going with the driver Emma Jean decided to take her mother’s car, the Mercedes. This was going to be her first time being in the new car. Rowan received the car as a thirty-fifth anniversary gift. Rowan headed towards the driver seat but Emma jean ushered her into the passenger side. Waving her driver off from behind the steering the left. This was to be the first time in her life she would be treating her mom to a spa day and dinner. The first ten minutes of their drive was quiet, slightly uncomfortable. Rowan turned to look at Emma jean, seeing just how much she looked like Dallas, of course she could see a lot of herself in Emma Jean too. “Did you say you slept with Kieran?” Emma jean was quiet causing Rowan to ask again. “Emma Jean? You did, didn’t you?” The car slowed down at a stop light giving Emma Jean a chance to look her mother in the eyes. “We were drunk. I pretended I didn’t remember a thing
Rowan felt the gaze on her, causing her to turn to face Emma Jean. “He, he, you want to know my secret?” “Yes, actually. How did you keep your body so svelte? And...” Her voice stopped abruptly not wanting to ask what had been on her mind all those years. “I can tell you I ate properly and exercised regularly but the truth is… I didn’t stop myself from eating whatever I wanted. I just ate in moderation. And every morning I would go for a walk. Not the recommended 3 miles, I would go for 10.” “That’s some dedication mommy. Maybe you can switch to walking in the evenings and we can go together?” Rowan raised her eyebrows in surprise at the suggestion. “I would love that honey.” They locked away their belongs and exited the room. They were met by the technicians, twin beauties. The girls spoke in unison, “It’s a pleasure to assist you to day ma’ams.” There were so many things that ran through Emma Jean’s mind that she refused to voice. “N
The twins came back inside the room to see the steady rising and falling of their chest. Emma Jean and Rowan fell asleep during their wait. They tapped them on the shoulder to rouse them from their brief nap. “Miss, its time to take of the wraps.” Emma Jean groaned at being woken up while Rowan seemed to still be asleep. She really was hard to wake up unless there was a blaring alarm waking her up. Emma’s technician worked effortlessly to unwrap her body. With every seaweed removed she felt lighter. It felt good when she finally was released completely from the confines of the wrap. The shower was waiting for her to rinse off. Emma Jean let the water cascade down her hair and her body. The warm water felt good, almost as if her stress were being washed away from her. Just before she stepped out, she wrapped a towel around her body. Both women were doing their best to wake Rowan up. The cool air made her skin prickle. “If you take off her mask, I’ll wake her up.” The

It was math class, a spring day. The start of a new quarter. Rowan Adams had her head resting in her hand looking out the window. The droning of the teacher coupled with the sounds of the rain were lulling her to sleep. Rowan hated math class. It was a useless waste of space in her eyes. She knew with what she wanted to do in her life math didn’t play a part of it. Rowan wanted to be a beautician. Making people feel their most beautiful after getting their hair done. A slam came down on her desk making her look up. The teacher, Mrs. Schroedene, was right in front of her desk. A look of annoyance marred her haggard features. Anyone could see that she was overworked and underpaid, which made her a mean math teacher. “Ms. Adams, you need math in order to work in the real world.”“Correction, Mrs. S, I don’t for what I plan to do with my life. All I need is basic math nothing more.”“Oh, ho, ho, is that so? And what do you plan on
