They were in the middle of their second movie when the storm seemed to ease enough for them to head back to his parents place. The two of them looked at each other. It was silent except for the sounds of the movie playing in the background. Emma Jean was about to say something when Kenji received a message from an unknown number.

[Your parents are really nice.] a picture was attached with the back of his parents in the frame showing.

Kenji bolted right up. Not sure who it was or who was in his house. He sent a reply back. [Who is this?] He started to call his mom first. It rang several times before going to voicemail. He tried the house phone it made a loud screeching sound signaling it was off the hook. He tried his mothers cell again. Nothing.

Emma Jean looked at him worriedly. “What’s going on? You look panicked?”
