Ellie’s point of view.
Zac stayed by my side right through the statement; although I could feel his anger, he never said a word as I relived my nightmare. He gives me the strength to go through with this, and when I’m finished, he wipes away my tears, and when we're finally alone, he says,
“I’m so fucking proud of you, Ellie; you are the bravest person I’ve ever known.”
There's a knock on the office door, and Zac calls out.
