Lindsey's POV

"You can do this Lindsey, I mean sure your probably commiting every felony known to man but that doesn't mean you didn't have a good reason for doing so". I said out loud trying to reassure myself about what I was about to do.

"The worst thing that could happen is that I don't get any money right? He wouldn't do anything that would cost him his reputation, am I right?" I asked to no one in particular while I paced up and down the room like a crazy person.

A light tap on my back brought me out of my semi silent craze. I looked up to see my boss, well not my boss he's Meredith's but that's besides the point looking at me as if I had magically sprouted wings out my rear end.

"Are you okay Lindsey? You look like your going to lose your lunch on the floor any minute now." He asked me in a caring, warm tone.

"I'm okay Mr D, I'm just a little tired that's all and I've told you to call me Lin already. This isn't the first time I'm covering for Meredith you know and it wouldn't be so it would be nice if you dropped the formal tone" I replied him with a smile

"Fine, Lin. Happy now?"

"Very"

"Lindsey are you sure that your going to be able to manage all this? It's a lot of work you know. I just don't know why Meredith had to do this at the last minute, today of all days." He said while reaching into his pocket to probably to grab a handkerchief.

"Boss, you know Meredith wouldn't have swapped places with me if it wasn't an emergency besides I'm more than able to carry out the tasks without any hitches." I said, trying to look as sincere as possible.

"That's what I like to hear. Now go up to room 405 in five minutes sharp. Our guest doesn't like to be kept waiting." He replied me while giving me a friendly pat on the back and left me in the room.

I sit back down on the recliner seat in the staff's break room and try to gather my thoughts together on what I was about to do. Closing my eyes,I mutter a light prayer under my breath and then get up from the chair.

Prepared or not, I can do this no I have to do this. It's now or never...
