THE CALL

PART FOUR: The call

Recap/ hi! I am boma hart, and there are a few things you know or probably forgot; somehow I was emotionally blackmailed to plan Scott's wedding, even though I never wanted to, and on reaching home, he called just to taunt me the more and to add it all up, he paid a visit to me the following morning, at my office/.

"Jeez, chill out okay, It's only a harmless visit, is it a crime?" He raised a question, "yes! It is, I don't want to see you here anymore okay!!" I fixed my eyes to the door, "wait! Are you asking me to leave your office?" He surfed for answers, "yes Scott leave my office and the next time you come here, it should be with an appointment, okay?"  I nudged my eyes to the door, "fine, I will be leaving now?" He( Scott) walks out of the office in an angry state, heaving Jude in " what is it, Jude!!" I let out the moment my eyes fall on him, " sorry ma'am, but a client is waiting for you at the lounge" he informs me, "okay, send her in!" I muttered back, as he ambled away.

Seconds after, a lady walks into my office, holding a little boy in her hand, " good morning miss boma!!" She warmly greeted " hello ma'am, please have a seat and tell me how may I bring your dream wedding into a reality" I wore a smile on my face, "yeah! But it isn't for a wedding but a wedding anniversary!" She affirms to me, "oh wow, that's awesome, how many years have you been married?" I asked, "twenty-four years!" She ran a smiley face, "oh my, congratulations, it's a big deal!" I said to her.

"Yeah it is, are you married?" She copied back my words to me, "no ma'am, I ain't married for now but hopefully, I will" I retorted back to her. " But you have a boyfriend right?" She askes nudging at me, " yes I do!" I blab out a lie, "that is good and I hope I see you both at the anniversary" she retreated her words wearing a warm smile. "Sure, I'll love to attend with my boyfriend!!" I ran a pessimistic look on my face, "are you okay!" She sensed something was wrong, "I am fine, how about we start planning your wedding anniversary!!" I pulled out my planner book on the table.

(Inaudible conversation)

Hours later, I walked stella out of the office, strolling towards the lobby, "thank you so much for your patronage ma'am and I promise to deliver everything to your taste" I took out my hand, "yeah, I am certain you will, I trust you" she turns her back ambling away with her son. "Urgh!!" I let out a deep breath as I strolled back to the office.

3:16 pm

A call got my attention, I pulled up my phone and saw mom was the caller, I wondered why she's calling me or wait I do, because she never seizes the opportunity to taunt me, it's like she wants me to get a random man and force him to get married to me, that was enough reason not to answer her call. 

Seconds later, my phone rang and mom was ID as the caller, the more I refuse to pick it up, the more she pesters me with her constant calls, "hello ma!" I put the call on loudspeaker, "hello dear daughter, why weren't you picking up my calls?" She asked in a suspicious tone, "nothing ma, I had an appointment, that's why!" I rolled my eyes waiting for her response.
