Chapter 107
Next day, we had to go the doctor’s appointment. It looked like she had to get her first chemotherapy.
I woke up at 7:30 and started getting ready. I wore a pair of jeans, white T-shirt and trainers. I made a ponytail and put on some gloss.I went downstairs and saw guys sitting on the couch with grandma. Uncle and dad were cooking breakfast. I sat on the couch and joined the conversation. I noticed that Raf wasn’t there. Probably, he went home last night.“Good morning!” I said.

I went downstairs and sat at the table. There wasn’t Raf. We started eating. I was thinking of the words I had to tell him. Maybe I was stupid, but it meant a lot for me. It was the first time I had ever fallen in love with someone and something told me that it was the last time. I needed to know if it was a reciprocated love. When we were done, we went outside to sit in the car. There was Raf. He was like always sitting on his motorbike. Everyone sat in the car and I sat next to him on the bike. When we arrived at the same beach, as I was in the end of the last summer, it was evening. Soon would be the sunset, the way we wanted. The wind was warm but strong. Uncle took from the bag a blanket and put it down on the sand. We sat on it. “We brought some food!” dad exclaimed and took the basket full of food out of his trunk.“When did you manage to do it?” granny asked.“While you were playing in the amusement park, we ordered the food,” uncle explained.”It’s amazing!” I exclaimed.We started eating. There were a lot of sandwiches, bottles of coke, a big plate of salad and a huge cake. When we finished eating, Raf whispered:“Can we talk?”I nodded and he helped me to get up. I wanted to talk to him today too. And it was the best place and time for that conversation. We went a little bit farther and decided to go behind the huge stone.

Next day was a great and a scary one. Granny had to get her operation done. We were happy about her getting rid of cancer, but of course, every surgery without exception was regarded as a dangerous and a serious one. But that morning was a happy different and the best one. I woke up, understanding that soon Raf was going to come and there wouldn’t be an awkward silence or the pain beating in the chest, because of the unspoken words. He nodded and I ran to the pilot seat and put the headphones on which I found there. He sat on the other seat. The whole flight I had a big smile plastered on my face. I was so happy.
