Detective Conan made his way through the dense undergrowth to the warehouse. He walked around the building, looking for a weak area through which he could enter unobserved. He discovered the fire escape that led to the second floor. The iron stairs were rusted and old, but they would last a while. He climbed the stairs slowly and silently. When he got to the top floor, he tried to unlock the door but realised it wasn't locked. He crept inside quietly, making sure the door didn't squeak. From below, he could hear muffled voices. To gaze down, he moved closer to the landing. The stairs directly in front of him would lead him down into the kidnappers' full view. He couldn't risk it, so he crouched in the shadows and waited at the viewpoint. Down below, there were eight people: four men and four women. Two of them appeared to be lifeless.
