Another Usual Morning

It was the 1st of May, the clock struck 7 and a sharp toned alarm started ringing, a small pale hand with untidy nails came out of the comforter trying to turn it off.

There was a knock on the door and a blatant voice spoke, “Wake up girl it’s already seven !! or do you want to be late on the first day of your high school ?”.

“Coming aunt Margie” yelled a girl with a courteous voice.

The teen girl named Cynthia woke up left her bed and went straight to the window in her room She drew off the curtains and opened the window. Looking at the fascinating beauty of nature she could nearby mountains from her small window and listening to the chirping of birds she exclaimed, “What a beautiful morning”. She spent minutes standing there looking at the alluring scene. A slightly cool breeze was blowing with arms of trees swinging along. Suddenly she realized that she can’t spend her whole day just standing near the window. “ Come on Cynthia you need to dress up it’s your first day at high school” she murmured.

Cynthia was super excited for her first day at high school. She went to the bathroom had a shower and came out wearing a black crop top with white cargos. She completed doing her makeup and hair, packed her bag and went out of the room. Before going out she stopped for a minute and saw herself in the mirror. She was looking pretty as always, her dark brown hair was tied in a high ponytail. She had pale skin with a dimple on her right cheek. Her crazily fascinating brown eyes made everyone passing by her stop and look back. She had the perfect hourglass figure that every teen of her age dreamt of having. The only thing Cynthia hated about her physique was her small hands with untidy nails. Cynthia wasn’t just beautiful from her appearance, she had a beautiful soul too. She was a generous and hospitable girl. Her love for the unconditional She had very few friends and spent most of her time with her pet dog Scout whom she rescued when Cynthia was a child.

While Cynthia was standing near the mirror scout came running towards her. She picked up scout in her arms and started playing with him.

" Hey, dear am finally going to a high school! You know what am super excited but a bit nervous too. Hope am not bullied by my seniors or my classmates on the first day at least Wish me luck buddy ." said Cynthia.

Talking to a dog might sound strange but Scout was the only one Cynthia used to share her feelings with She had friends but Cynthia couldn't trust them too. Cynthia was always a girl who believed in magic and destiny She had certain strange experiences in her childhood that made her believe that magic is real. However, whenever she told such a thing to her friends they always made fun of Cynthia. They used to tell her that it's just her imagination, such things just happen in movies, not in real life but deep inside Cynthia knew getting dreams that turned out true later or making an animal stop with a spell she used after reading in a fantasy store book isn't a coincidence or her imagination. She knew she is strange and there's something unique about her but she had no one to ask for help to clear her doubts.

Cynthia then made scout lie on a couch and came out of her room. She walked down straight to the dining hall She lived with her aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs Cyprus as Cynthia’s parents died when she was just one year old. She had an elder step sister too Hecate Cyprus daughter of Mr. & Mrs Cyprus Hecate was a discourteous girl. She had a lot of friends and they used to bully all other students in the school, neighbourhood and of course Cynthia too. They used to play stupid pranks on Cynthia and always made her feel bad as she was an orphan. Hecate went to the same high school Cynthia was now going to. But after graduating from high school Hecate's behaviour changed. She started acting very strange and stopped talking to her friends. She had now started living a lonely life and was planning to move to another country after completing her graduation. It seemed like something wrong had happened with Hecate.

In the dining hall, Cynthia saw her aunt Margie Cyprus pampering herself as she was very conscious about her looks even though she wasn't pretty at all. She was a big fat lady with clumsy hair. Cynthia’s uncle Mr Sameal Cyprus was sitting on a couch reading his newspaper. They both hated Cynthia as they thought Cynthia sought all attention from the people that their daughter deserved as Cynthia was beautiful. Cynthia wished them but got no reply as usual. They always ignored Cynthia and never talked to her with love. She was treated like a maid by her aunt and uncle.

She went to the kitchen cooked her breakfast and sat down eating and scrolling through her social media while aunt Margie kept talking about Hecates new branded clothes and her birthday party planning to make Cynthia jealous. Cynthia never had a birthday celebration, she never wanted to have one as Cynthia's birthday came on 11 May the same day her parents died. Aunt Margie always taunted Cynthia for the same She had a stupid belief that her lovely sister died because of Cynthia

" You are unlucky you are the one who brought bad luck to our family. After you were born nothing good happened with us, things just started getting worse. You are miserable ." This is what Cynthia always had to hear from her aunt.  But as Cynthia was now habitual of all this stuff she stopped caring and simply ignored her.

Cynthia then finished her breakfast, went back to the kitchen and started doing the dishes before aunt Margie taunts her again, "Hey girl do we have to call a servant to wash your utensils ?" Cynthia didn't want to spoil her first day of high school After finishing her work she came back to the dining hall. Aunt Margie was still sitting with a DIY face pack applied on her face with cucumber on her eyes. Mr. sameal had finished reading his newspaper and was now wandering in the hall breathing heavily as he is just running a marathon.

"Where is my bag ", he screamed.

" It might be here only or maybe in the room or wait just check near the microwave or below the sofa ", exclaimed Aunt Margie.

" Why on earth would be my bag near the microwave or under the sofa... if am not wrong it's a bag, not a ball... I kept it right here ....on this table . " said uncle Samael with frustration.

" Stop screaming at me! This girl is responsible for all this nonsense," said Aunt Margie.

" Wait! what!!!! why the hell do you blame me for every single thing that happens in this house ?'" shouted Cynthia.

" Isn't that filthy scout your pet Ms Cynthia ?" asked aunt Margie.

" Yeah ! he is ....." . said Cynthia in a confused tone.

" So don't you know creating chaos is his favourite hobby ??.......hiding the things and sometimes even worse breaking or tearing them down in pieces is what your dog knows. He is a bloody quarrelsome ill-mannered dog. I wish I could just kill him . " said Aunt Margie.

" Aunt Margie !!" shouted Cynthia with anger in her eyes. " I know my Scout is a bit naughty but he isn't that bad. I know you hate him after all and why won't you after all it's my pet. Pet of girl you hate the most in this world but you know what I don't care at least he is better than you guys and especially your daughter Hecate a complete bully and I warn you don't you dare to even think of killing or worst harming my Scout. This might turn bad for you. Mind it " exclaimed Cynthia in a very rude tone. She had never been so rude to anyone. It seemed like all her frustration of 14 years just came out.

" Cynthia, is this the way to talk to your aunt? You are screaming at her just for a bloody street dog "yelled uncle Samael

" He is not just a dog !!! He is my only best friend. I love him ...I love him a lot ." " babbled Cynthia breaking down into tears and hugging Scout.

" Is this girl mad or what? she is crying for a dog !!." said aunt Margie giving an awkward reaction.

" NOT JUST A DOG !!!!" yelled Cynthia angrily.

" Fine .... now just stop your nonsense and find your uncle's bag," shouted Aunt Margie towards Cynthia.

" But I am getting late for school .....I gotta go ! " said Cynthia.

" I don't care just find the bag first and then go otherwise you'll find your lovely scout in a trash can after you return " exclaimed Aunt Margie.

" Don't you dare to touch my dog !!!" yelled Cynthia.

" FINE ! then go do the task ".

" I told you to send this girl to an orphanage .. hope we had done when she was a child .... see the way she is behaving . " whispered aunt Margie to uncle Samael.

Cynthia ignored her and started looking for the bag as she didn't want to be late on the very first day. Her morning was already spoiled she didn't want to spoil her school day. She kept on looking and suddenly the house bell ring.

" Go see who is on the door Cynthia," said aunt Margie busy scrolling through I*******m.

" Going " she replied. " I hope she was lost in place of that office bag " she murmured.

Cynthia opened the door and saw a laundryman standing with a bag full of a pile of clothes and a leather office bag. '" Isn't this uncle Samael's bag ? " she thought.

"Hey! I was here to return the clothes Mrs Cyprus sent for laundry a day before yesterday ." said the laundry man wearing a blue coloured uniform, messy brunette hair and an ice plae skin wearing a red cap on his head.

" Ohh okay thanks ! " said Cynthia still staring at the leather bag. the laundry man turned back.

" Hey wait ! am sorry to stop you but is this your bag ... I mean I have seen it before with someone I know ...Ummm," she said with hesitation.

" Ooo am so sorry. just forgot! I was here to return this only aunt Margie by chance sent it along with the clothes .. thanks for reminding . " said the man handing Cynthia the bag. Cynthia shut the door and came inside.

" Who was it Cynthia ????" shouted Aunt Margie.

Cynthia gave no reply and went straight to Aunt Margie. She threw the clothes and the bag on the floor angrily.

" What nonsense !" said aunt Margie.

" It was the laundryman on the door. He came to return your clothes and uncle's office bag that you sent along with the clothes for laundry. So it was your mistake and you were blaming my scout for no reason. Oh no!! actually for a reason, the biggest reason ...that he is my pet and you hate me and you wanted to spoil my day. Wow !..... wonderful!... excellent !" yelled Cynthia as she has gone mad at aunt Margie for spoiling the morning of her very first day of high school. The day Cynthia was excited like anything.

Aunt Margie was staring at Cynthia shockingly as she had never seen Cynthia so angry and speaking in such a high tone. " Is this that same shy and coward Cynthia ?" she thought.

" Ummm so what ...humans make mistake ... and I am a human too !" said aunt Margie trying to cover up her mistake looking at uncle sameal who was staring at aunt Margie with belligerence in his eyes.

" Yeah, a human! ... a human worse than animals " murmured Cynthia.

"What did you say ? " asked aunt Margie.

" Nothing " she replied.

" So if you guys are done with all your meaningless stuff. I want to tell you that am going to school .. so bye and you aunt Margie don't even dare to touch my Scout ... " she said.

" Hope the school is safe from the bad luck this girl is going to take with her " murmured Aunt Margie.

Cynthia ignored her and came out shutting the door so hard "

"BANG," said the door and Cynthia went out.
