22: “An Alpha shouldn’t kneel to anyone.”
I woke up with a heavy feeling in my chest. My eyes were weary from all the crying last night. Eaton had left and didn’t come back the whole night but i could hear him upstairs and i even heard some warriors came to talk to Eaton the whole night. Pretty sure he didn’t sleep at all. There is no way that Eaton would be chill about the intruders now.
After taking a shower, i scan my body on the mirror as expected, I have bruises on my neck and arms that have turned dark. The sight brings me back to last night and the thought almost bring me to tears again. But I pulled myself together and open the closet door and it’s full of clothes Eaton had bought me somehow. Not necessarily my style, but beggars can’t be choosers. I quickly took out something warm and put it on. The turtle neck of the sweater successfully covers the bruises.

A knock on the glass front door woke me up. Eaton’s arms are still under my head. I opened my eyes and saw Eaton who was still sleeping silently. The blankets are covering our naked bodies on the couch. “Mitzy! I made you guys some food.” I heard mom’s voice as she knocked on the door. My body tensed up and looked over to the direction where the door is, making sure my mom isn’t peeking through the huge window.
