Living a Normal Life

"Oh no... I'm gonna be late for my first day of university!", I jumped out of my bed as I checked the time. It felt like a dream to live a normal life. I could never imagine that this beautiful dream would have ever come true. I moved to Seoul after my graduation in Busan. On my way to Seoul, I had many thoughts, whether I would be able to overcome my fear, whether I would be able to make friends or whether I would be able to lead a normal life.

It was my birthday when I moved to Seoul. Finally, I was twenty-one years old. My apartment was quite a comfortable one, not big or expensive yet a small and cute one. A perfect place, a university student could afford. It was on the second floor. To add a plus point, the neighbourhood was also very friendly and peaceful. It was just like my dream apartment that I had ever wished for.

"What time is it? I hope I don't miss the bus.", I murmured to myself while running towards the bus stop. It was a beautiful morning which would've been more wonderful if I could have woken up on time. It was a lucky move that I could reach the stoppage right on time.

As I got on the bus, I saw many young high school students listening to music or chatting with each other. Also, I saw many senior citizens and when an old lady was having difficulties standing, I gave her my seat. After thirty minutes, I had reached my stoppage. I got off the bus and started heading towards the university entrance gate.

As I entered, I saw many students around. Some girls were showing off their beauty to the other girls while a group of boys were playing football. I went further into the campus after greeting few teachers who came across my way. I was amazed and felt a certain amount of excitement from every beat of my heart.

After a while, I saw a large group of girls along with few boys, running as if they had seen something precious, in the basketball court. I also joined them as my curiosity had taken the best of me. Many students had fixed their gaze inside the basketball court and were screaming like varmints as if they had discovered a celebrity. While the girls were busy in their squeaky yet impactful screaming competition, the boys were busy admiring the view in front of them.

I wondered who there was. So, I gathered all my energy to find it out myself. It appeared as if I was in a sale and on top of that, a grand sale at a supermarket. After all the struggles, I was finally able to solve the mystery of the case, through railings of the basketball court. It won't be a lie if I were to say that I was disappointed. I thought I would be able to find some hotshot but all I could find was a group of five students playing basketball. A group of five, which also consisted of a girl among them, seemed pretty weird to me.

I sighed, "What the... I thought someone special would be here but what is this? and what's with all the crowd here? They're behaving as if they've seen some celebrities." I could feel a sudden spark of pain as somebody hit me from behind. "What?! Hey! You! Are you a fool?! Don't you know who they are?!", a voice from the crowd yelled at me as I turned around to find three girls preparing for my death through their deep and dark coloured eyes.

Those girls, to my surprise, were the same who were boasting about themselves earlier. "A fool? How dare you hit me? I don't even know who they are! I'm new here.", I defended myself as I gkared at them. "Well you do seem like a fool but if you're new here then I'll forgive you as it was your first and last time, looking down at the K-5.", one of them warned me. "What K-5? What the hell is it?", I inquired.

The girls turned their back at me to witness those K-5 members leave the court. As the K-5 members started to leave, the crowd gathered there also started to follow them just like a tail following its owner, leaving me behind with my questions.

After a few minutes, I soon entered my department and I was quite alarmed to find those so-called famous students here. They seemed busy in their world. As if they were here in search of something. I constantly found myself gazing at them, which was quite foreign to me. I had to agree, those K-5 members were quite a piece of art. The four boys were handsome and shining in their ways.

They all seemed to be the type of people who prioritised skincare. They all had flawless skin and the girl seemed so cute yet cool while flicking her bangs. She had short hair which made a perfect combination with her reddish-brown eyes. The one who seized my attention the most seemed questionably familiar to me. "If this is how the first day of my freshman year is gonna be, then I wonder what it would be like the whole time?", I wondered as I snatched my attention away from them after staring at them leave.
