Chapter 7

"Just put up a cooking challenge!" said a woman sitting right beside Mrs. Betty. Mrs. Marty gasped, her eyes widened, in her mind, she asked whether Hana could even tell which one was sugar and which was salt. But now Hana is a member of the Johnson family, and the Johnson family must not lose face in public, so Mrs. Marty grabbed Hana's hand to bring her daughter-in-law closer to her, "Are you sure you know what tiramisu is?" Mrs. Marty whispered softly to Hana. Growing up in an orphanage definitely meant that Hana didn't have much experience with fancy food! Surely Hana only knows one cake, and maybe Hana doesn't know the various types of cakes. Mrs. Marty, thought, grimacing herself.

Anxiety gripped Mrs. Marty. Hana unexpectedly nodded her head as she replied, "Yes, of course I do."

"Really?" asked Mrs Marty.

"Yes, Mother, I'm sure," Hana replied.

"Hmmm ...." Mrs Marty is still not convinced. "You can apologize to Mrs. Betty now before it's too late, and promise never to brag again," insisted Mrs. Marty in a cold, sharp voice.

"Brag?" This question was about to be asked by Hana to Mrs. Marty, but apparently Mrs. Marty was very serious about what she had just said, Hana immediately replied, "I often make tiramisu for the orphanage children." Hana arched her smile.

After all, the tiramisu that Hana meant was tiramisu with very simple ingredients, and it could not be compared to the tiramisu made by Amber with expensive ingredients.

Mrs. Marty would have wanted to protest against Hana, but before she could have started what she wanted to say, the voices of women around them interrupted her.

"Yeah, right! So that we know that this woman is just a big mouth!" Mrs. Carla commented that she didn't seem to like Hana very much.

"Let me know how this woman feels. She will soon feel the consequences of her own actions," the other women only dared to whisper right into Mrs. Betty's ear. The women chose not to get into trouble with Mrs. Marty.

This situation gave Mrs. Betty the upper hand, she was being defended by a third of the women present there. The others chose to remain silent, they glanced at Mrs Marty who was moving restlessly on the seat. The fact is that the Johnson family's pride comes first. After thinking about this fight for a moment, Mrs. Marty immediately opened her voice, "Fine, get Amber now. We're going to have a tiramisu making competition in this house .... Hana!"

Hearing her name mentioned, Hana immediately approached her in-laws, she asked, "What's wrong, Mom?" Mrs. Marty sighed, she was irritated. "Make sure you know the chocolate bars from expensive brands," Mrs. Marty said and immediately stood up and left Hana in her seat.

"Tamia!" called Mrs. Marty in an elevated voice. Her tone was a sign that she was in a bad mood. A young woman dressed modestly, immediately came towards Mrs. Marty, she lowered her head when she was in front of Mrs. Marty.

"What is it, Madame?" asked Tamia in a polite voice.

"Prepare the ingredients for making tiramisu, put them on the bar table. We'll have a cooking competition."

Tamia's eyes widened. There had been no cooking contests in the Johnson family for a long time. This is the first time in twenty years, when a woman who is now a famous Master Chef competes with Mrs. Marty. At that time, Mrs. Marty challenged the woman to make a dish made from noodles, and because Mrs. Marty was defeated by her challenger, Mrs. Marty promised not to enter the world of cooking again. At that time Mrs. Marty lost her confidence and self-respect. She really lost face! Tamia was new to Johnson's house, but the rumors had been a long time coming.

"Yes, Madame." Tamia did not say much, she immediately walked away from the presence of Mrs. Marty. Meanwhile, Mrs. Marty checks Hana's sanity. Mrs Marty said to herself, "Hana is crazy! She's not just a mutt but she's a big mouthed girl too!" Realizing that Madame Marty was glaring at her which could make Hana's eyes pop out instantly, Hana chose to look another way. A tall man with a handsome face came into the dining room, with a  woman who had a beautiful face.

"Amber!" called Mrs. Betty to her child who was walking hand in hand with Romeo. Almost all the women in the room agreed with this scene, their faces looked very happy when they saw Romeo walking with Amber. Suitable! That's what the women there had in mind. "What's the matter, Mom?" asked Amber in a very soft and polite voice. All women who have sons ready to marry will be delighted by Amber's friendly, manly nature.

Mrs. Betty immediately got up and ran towards Amber. "Hana challenges you to make tiramisu!" Mrs Betty's voice was high and shrill, and the woman seemed to be tattling to her child.

Challenging? thought all the women who were there. They all knew that Mrs. Betty's words were untrue! Hana had never challenged Amber to a fight to make tiramisu, but it was this woman who urged Hana to prove that Amber's cooking was the tastiest, and it was Amber who could be called the Johnson family's daughter-in-law, and not Hana! But the women hated Hana too much because she had a big mouth, so not one of the women there tried to defend Hana.

"Why did Hana do that?" asked Amber calmly. The woman looks polite in speaking. Romeo does not believe Mrs. Betty's words, he knows the woman who is his wife now does not have the courage to challenge someone. But the reality he faced this morning, when he saw Hana fighting Amber, ruined his opinion about Hana. Why is Hana being brave like this, Romeo asked himself. His eyes narrowed when he looked at Hana. But the porcelain-faced woman remained calm and made no attempt to defend herself, adding to the mystery in her. Romeo is excited to see Hana's beautiful face. He swallowed his saliva.

Mrs. Betty answered Amber's question angrily, "Hana is boasting! She said that the tiramisu we made was her own! Without knowing herself, she then challenged you!"

This accusation is too cruel and very offensive to Hana.

Her words are full of lies, Hana thought.

Amber's face suddenly changed, she doesn't look like that, but no one noticed this. Saying in a sweet voice, she said, "Why are you challenging me, Hana? We'd better forget this problem."
