Chapter 2- You Can Call Me Daddy

-Aspen P.O.V-

I couldn't control it, her heart beating, her blood moving in her veins. So, I did it. I bit her and the worst thing was she was my soul mate and I had just marked her as my own. Her blood tasted mouth-watering and I knew straight away she was a virgin. I couldn’t stop, I didn’t want to, all I wanted was to drain life out of her. I never wanted a human soul mate; I never wanted a soulmate at all. Eventually, I took my fangs out to see her looking weak, I bit my arm, feeding her my blood and vanished out of sight.

I had gotten back to the castle, I went to find Jax so I could apologise to him about before when I overheard my parents, Aurora, my sister and Jaxson talking about me.

"Mom I think we should have a ball so that he can find his soul mate," Aurora said. I didn't want anyone, I wanted my mate, snuggled into my arms. I didn't know who she was but she was the only thing in my mind and how she smelt of lavender. I shook the thoughts out of my head, all these years I never wanted a soul mate, now that I’ve met mine, I didn’t want to let her go.

"Good thinking Aurora, we will have it Friday night," my mother squealed, I walked into the room, walking towards Jax giving him a hug. "Awe my boys made up," mom said smiling, "Aspen we're having a ball Friday night."

I looked at them and nodded not wanting to tell them that I had met my mate today and that I had marked her. I walked towards my room, opening it and walking in, taking my clothes of, putting on some shorts and getting into bed. All I could think about was that girl. The girl that smelt of lavender, her shocking blue eyes and brown hair, she was the definition of perfect.

-Skylar P.O.V-

I woke up from my annoying alarm, I looked at the time and it was 5 am. As soon as I lifted my head my neck started to hurt, I got up and looked in the mirror to see two holes in my neck. Flashbacks from yesterday ran through my head, I had been attacked by a vampire. I walked into the bathroom doing my business and then into the shower, I washed my hair and body. As soon as I was done, I sat in the shower, letting my thoughts consume me. “Sky, you’re going to be late.” I heard a knock on the bathroom door.

I wrapped a towel around my body and went back into my room, I put on my outfit which consisted of black high waisted shorts, a white cropped cami and a pair of black converses. I dried my hair, then tied it into a high ponytai,l then began doing my makeup, I only wore mascara and eyeliner, before heading down the stairs to see my family, my mom Freya, my dad Caleb and Hunter surrounding my mother reading a paper.

"Morning," I said.

"Morning," they replied, not looking at me.

"A ball," my mom said looking at me. I shook my head knowing she would make me go and then she would go and buy me an expensive dress so I could impress the vampires. "I will pick you up after school and we will go buy you a dress since the ball is tomorrow," I shook my head. “Skylar Mitchell, I will not say it again, you are to attend this ball.” She sassed at me, I only nodded in return, not wanting to get on mother’s bad side. I grabbed a granola bar and headed out of the house and waited for Ryder to come pick me up.

-Aspen P.O.V-

It has been two nights since I marked that girl and two nights of me thinking about her nonstop. I unwrapped my body from my black sheets, let my feet drop to the floor and walked to my bathroom. I did my business and took a shower. I put on a clean pair of boxers and a pair of basketball shorts I grabbed my flip flops and put my black I phone 12 plus on charge then headed out the door. I walked to the dining room to get breakfast.

"Morning," I said giving my mom a kiss on the cheek.

I sat next to Aurora and her mate Daniel, opposite me was my father and next to him was Jax.

"So today is your ball," Aurora said reminding me.

"Yes, Aspen the tailor has made your suit it is in your room," my mom told us, “Now I want all of you ready by 6.30."

Once I had finished my breakfast I walked to my room and grabbed my Jordan sneakers and a tank top, I put them on, grabbed my phone and left my room. It was only 9am, so I decided to go to the other side of town and thinking that I could have a chance of meeting her again.

I super sped to the street I bit her two days ago, when I smelt her. I followed the smell and it led me to a white house I looked up and saw the balcony window open and then I saw my beautiful mate.

-Skylar P.O.V-

It was the day of the ball; my mom had told me not to go to school, so that I would have more time to get ready. The time was 8 and I had just woken up, I hopped in the shower washing my body and hair. I hopped out putting on my undergarments and my brother's shirt on top which went below my butt. I then headed down the stairs to see my mom and her best friend Julia, Julia is Ryder's mother and she is a makeup artist.

"Morning Sky," Julia greeted me.

"Hey Aunt Julia."

"So, you excited about today? Your mother asked me to do your makeup and hair," Julia told me.

"Yup, Mom I'm going to run some errands, so I will be back in a few," I told my mom.

"Sky, don't forget your pants."

I looked down and blushed, I ran up to my room and got out a pair of booty shorts and some flip flops, I grabbed my phone and my card then walked out the house. As I was walking down the drive way I bumped into a hard body.

"Omg, I'm so sorry," I said to the guy.

"No problem, it's fine," he said with a smile.

"Do I know you?" I asked.

"No, I don't think you do, I'm Aspen but you can call me daddy," He said smirking.
