Chapter 6: Unwanted Situation

He was tightly gripping my right wrist. Without any time to react, he drags me out of bed. I can feel his fingers on my skin, holding me tight so that I can’t break free from him.

He was walking towards the big door. I just noticed that it was a double door, and when we are in front of it, it just automatically opened for us. Trying to make way. Then, he doesn’t even bother to lessen his grip on me. Walking straight ahead.

I want to tell him that he needs to loosen his hands on my wrist, but I’m scared. I know what I did earlier. Those words or the phrases I made were new to him. Maybe, I’m the first person who treated him like that. It doesn’t concern me. I look down while letting him pull my wrist.

But what he said earlier, I was on his turf. I don’t even know why did he bring me here. Yes. It doesn’t hide the truth where he’s the one who redeems me from that auction, yet this is trespassing and another type of abduction.

Oh, I almost forgot!  All of this won’t happen if I wasn’t abducted in the first place. I don’t know whose fault this is, but I need to clearly understand why I was there at the disco night bar and then transferred to an auction event. Whoever behind that abduction, I need to make them pay for putting me in this challenging situation.

I was eaten by my own thoughts, and when I raised my head, maids were wearing a black dress and white flower-like ties lined up in front of us, bowing their heads, and he already stopped on walking without letting go of my wrist.

He was about to start walking again, but then I pulled back my hands from his, grip making him turn in my direction. He looks at me with conflicting brows and furrowed foreheads. A cue that he didn’t like what I did.

I ignored the unsatisfied expression written on his face. I touched my wrists using my left hand. Because of the strength and tightness of the grip he gave while pulling me, it hurts a bit.

I stare at my swelling wrists, shift my eyes on him, and give an angry look as if I’m going to throttle his neck. I was pissed!

“I hate the outright display of anger written on your face. It’s not appropriate for you to give me that kind of look,” the man said and find it a warning, but I didn’t change how I throw this look of mine. I’m really pissed.

“Then what? You’ll strangle me just like what you did on that bid caller, ha!” I hissed. I didn’t expect the words came out of my mouth, and I’ve never been this kind of pissed before.

I can see how he clenched his jaw, “Don’t talk to me like that,” he said with a calm voice, but there’s a trace of authority and suppression of anger. I know. He’ll gonna explode anytime soon.

My heart rate suddenly increased. I suddenly owned this feeling of being flushed.

“Who are you to tell me what I need to do. I can look at you in any manner that I want. I don’t care if you find it unpleasant. I’m not here to give you pleasure anyway!” I yell. I was confused when I saw the maids on my peripheral vision.

I noticed that none of them created any movement since earlier. The maids are just staying low while bowing their heads. Will they keep on doing that for the rest of the commotion we had right now? Not planning to budge or just restrain both of us?

“Pleasure?” I heard him let out a faint chuckle that made me focused my attention on the upcoming words he would throw, “That’s the part of my intention in bringing you here,” then he gave me intense eye contact.

It’s not uncommon for me to receive intense contacts since I’m already used to it while contracting and making ahead with my University professors, especially on the bar I’m working at. The worst eye contact was from drunk customers or asshole guys who wanted a happy-happy time.

But what he gave me right now was one of a kind eye contact I ever had. He didn’t break the look in his eyes, and later on, I was alarmed. I found him intimidating again. When he took a glimpse of my situation, he smiled peculiarly.

I don’t know why but my body suddenly began shaking. Those fears I felt earlier at the auction where this man was strangling the bid caller, all of those horrifying effects, came back to me instantly.

His peculiar smile suddenly turns into a vile smirk, “Do you like the thought of pleasure?” He mockingly asked me without wearing off the smirk plastered on his face.

I feel dread at the very thought of speaking or giving him an answer. He’s not throwing some type of creepy words but deliberately makes me feel this frightened. This is not a type of average person can quickly give!

I can still feel how my body was shaking, but I managed to step backward when he began to walk towards me. The expression on his face was disconcerting and upsetting me.

I hate to have this feeling, but even if I don’t know what he was thinking right now, I’m sure he enjoyed my situation! I know that he’s a devilish person, but I didn’t expect it to be at this highest level.

I just wanted to know if he’s the one behind the abduction or if not, it might be that he knows who’s behind all of this. Why I was abducted and become one of the listed items in that auction. More than that, I want to ask why he stakes a hundred billion dollars over my head!

But with just my intuition to ask, I already failed and put myself in this fearful situation.

“Scaredy cat,” he said without breaking off his eyes on me. I wanted to say something just like I did earlier and fire him with annoying words, but I just can’t.

I continued walking backward like I was trying to escape from his captivation, but he just does the same thing, walking forward without letting me off the hook.

I never stopped walking backward, and it was uncomfortable for me to find when I look at his back where the maids were lined up earlier, they’re still bowing their heads and without plans to move even an inch from their current position.

I remembered what he said that I was on his turf. It means he was the master of this place if I didn’t get it wrong. Are the maids afraid of this man in front of me?

My heart was throbbing fast again for the nth time just because a thought of that thing crossed my mind. I suddenly tripped on my own feet. How lame and stupid you are, Ruchee! To tripped on my own is the most embarrassing thing that happened in my life!

It’s too late for me to balance myself, so I closed my eyes and then got myself ready to contact the floor.

I didn’t feel any correlation between my body and the floor, but I felt some arms supporting my back from falling. There’s also a hand that was gently wrapping my nape.

“You’re still beautiful as the moon even with closed eyes,” his baritone voice was now calm. I opened my eyes and found myself in a weird situation. I don’t know how to react. He was holding my body, preventing it from falling.

He saved me from falling. Without any remarks, my body hit the highest temperature. Not the feeling of anger. It’s because of embarrassment and the furious beating inside my chest.

I didn’t expect to be in his hands, and our body was so close to each other. I was captivated by this devilish billionaire’s arms and giving off this unfamiliar sensation!
