Chapter 33

The world looked different as I stepped out into the garden and shielded my eyes from the bright sun with my hands.

"Will it hurt?" I asked Abigor as I let him rest his head on my bosom. The action, strangely, made me feel at ease. It calmed me down after all the fright I had felt.

"Death...hurts, a lot," he responded and the vibrations that came from his speaking shook me to the very core. I was still unable to move but at this point, I realized that moving was futile because even if he had not done anything to my body, I would have been frozen in place.
